You are a FOOL. My husband and I both work full time, both have college degrees, and PAY for our healthcare/premiums. Maybe you should TRY working, my dear. Thanks to freeloaders, such as yourself, I will now be paying for yours as well. Thank you so much Obama for making my premiums go up and my care coverage go down. That is truly what is wrong with out country....everyone thinks they deserve something for free. People like you just make me sick.....disgusted actually.
Excuse me? I think you're totally confused about everything.

First, I am 71 and nominally retired but still own a business where I work part-time, after having worked full-time for 50 hard years. And ALWAYS had health insurance usually paid for by my employer but toward the end of my working years I had to pay about half the premiums because costs had gone up so much.

Second, You will NOT have to pay for someone else's health care because they will be required to pay for their own insurance rather than depending on others with health insurance to pay for their care through higher costs and premiums.

I find it hard to believe that you're a college graduate...what was your degree in...horticulture? Obviously not in business.

Do you honestly think that obamas insurance plan will be able to cover all those peoples health care costs for a measley 600 dollars per person. The money will have to come from somewhere and I gurantee you that we will be taxed more to pay for it.

It's true. The only people benefitting from this are the freeloaders. They are creaming their pants.

Where did you get that $600 figure? I'm going to copy & paste a response I made on another forum in answer to your comments.

I'm a pretty good accountant but I'm getting my figures from the CBO and other experts. But I believe I understand the rationale: 13 million more people will either buy health insurance or pay a penalty (tax) but very few of those people will actually use health care services. These two facts in combination will drive down the cost of health care which will in turn drive down the cost of health insurance for everybody. Keep in mind that a large percentage of the 30 million are young people who will hardly use medical facilities but when they do they won't be going to the emergency room for the highest-priced medical care but to doctors which will be less expensive. That will drive down costs.

Instead of arguing about costs maybe we should think about whether the #1 country in the world should guarantee health care to its people as European countries do. If they can afford it then why can't we? We rank 37th in the world for health care for our people....that's shameful. Sure the wealthy people of the world would rather come here for healthcare but what about the millions of our CITIZENS who have to depend on the local emergency room which will give them rudimentary care and send them on their way. No tests for diseases that may be killing them and the barest treatment once the disease is discovered after it's too late.

Yes, we have to make a choice and I know which side I'm on...even though I have medicare and supplemental health insurance and don't have to worry about my care. I won't quibble about paying a little more...and when it comes my time to go I have a living will to make sure I'm not kept alive by machines which costs a fortune. If everybody just did that we wouldn't have a health care cost problem in this counry....but hey, that's me.....I guess some people can't face the fact that someday they will be dead. They must not believe very strongly in the heavenly reward that awaits them...:)

Nope, the freeloaders....those who can afford to buy health insurance but won't because they would rather take a vacation or buy a more expensive vehicle....will be forced to either buy insurance or pay a penalty. They gamble that they won't need medical care but then they get leukemia or are in an accident and guess who pays for their medical care....we who have health insurance pay for it through higher medical costs and hgher insurance premiums.

I wonder how many people complaining about Obamacare don't actually have health insurance and will be the beneficiaries of Obamacare. I know people like that. My neighbor has about $800 a month SS income, gets food stamps, low income housing, and free food from the church kitchens, but, by God, she is a staunch Republican and wouldn't vote for Obama if her life depended on it. Yet the Republicans would cut spending for some of the programs that she depends on to live. Ain't life wonderful!

A few pundits have said Obama has laid the groundwork for our country to move towards complete Universal healthcare for everyone. That he has started the ball rolling and its what others do to add to it and how it can happen for us.

And as far as those of us who stay away from Western medical practice altogether, because we don't believe in it, use it at all, nor need it?

Why do these posts keep using the word penalty? The court ruled yesterday it was a tax. For the first time we are being taxed for just being Americans. I wonder if the illegals will be subject to this tax?

Oh honey, when you get sick enough you will be happy to use "Western medical" care. But I'm happy that you sound as though you're not taking a pill for everything that befalls you. Let me tell you a story....my friend had cancer and was going to an alternative care doctor. She went to a different state for a series of treatments from this doctor and right in the middle of it she died. She was dying anyway....but I just want to remind you that alternative medicine is sometimes no better than "Western medicine". Better have that medical card handy just in case you need it.

You cant compare us with those countrys. They are socialist governments and as you should know they are heavly taxed. Likd you said youfself, those that can in those countrys come here for healthcare. Plus they have a lower life expectancy than we do. How about we regulate the outragous prices of health care. Couldnt we say that certain procedures should have one set cost. I had a ultrasound for my galbladder 2 months ago. I was in the room for no more than 5 minutes and it cost me 800 dollars out of pocket due to the fact I hadnt met my deductable yet. I think thats insane! When I had my daughter last year I paid 365 dollars for four 800 mg ibuprofrins. Maybe you agree with these prices but I dont. I know people that drive nicer vehicles than mine and have 70 inch flat screen tvs and 4 wheelers etc etc and they have no health insurance. Say they cant afford it. Can you justify any of this? Plus the fact that obamas health care plan will possibly add trillions to the defecit.

Why would I agree with those prices...they're outrageous. I had lab work done last month & just got a copy of the bill...which I don't have to pay because I have health insurance...and it was $541 for blood tests! That's outrageous too! And it drives up costs for everyone.

Those people that you know who drive nicer vehicles than yours and have 70 inch flat screen tvs and 4 wheelers, etc., etc. but don't have health insurance are the very people that Obamacare is going to force to buy health insurance so that when they get sick or are injured and go to the hospital, you and I don't have to pay for their medical care through higher costs (like you and I both just posted) and through higher insurance premiums. I think you and I are on the same side in this fight.

Just thought that you folks might want to consider the fact that Medicare is much more "socialistic" than "Obamacare." Would you all be in favor of scrapping Medicare? Also, wasn't is the Bush administration that gave us the prescription drug benefit, which is way more socialistic that the current health care reform plan. The last time I looked, that dumbass was a Republican. Oh yeah... Mr. Romney (the alleged conservative) oversaw a very similar plan in Massachusetts.

Okay... go back to watching Fox News and get you some more propoganda to spew on this site.

You can move to Australia if you want. No one is forcing you stay. They probably don't want you there either.

If you don't seek medical care, you probably won't live long enough to be a major burden on the paying public. If you work and pay for medical coverage you won't be mandated to pay a penalty. How's it going to cost you more?

Oh good Lord, what an idiot!
Explain to me how we are going to afford to pay for all of this. Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are going broke, everything the federal government touches spirals out of controll and cost 100 times more than what they tell you. You can't keep giving away everything for free and the expect those of us who work to pay for it. I could not afford alot of things so I worked harder and got a better job so I could. That how you do it not living off the backs of the people who prosper!
