That's it I don't think these kids do this every day. I lived 40 years in WV. Raised my own kids there and myself nor my girls have ever jumped off an house into a back of a coal truck. Senator Manchin did an interview where he was trying to boycott the showed before it aired and he stated the producers of MTV took several takes because the kids weren't acting wild enough. I'd love to see these kids from WV make the money and become the celebrities the Jersey Shore kids have, but not if its gonna cost one of them their life.
I'm not by any means putting the kids on the show down. I was raised the same way. They can still have a good show without doing all the dangerous stuff. I'm just really worried about them.
if you lived in wv 40 years then you should know that wasn't a coal truck and i bet your girls done some of the other things those girls were doing wink!! wink!!

I've lived here 57 years, and this new generation is nothing wild compared to years ago. Hell I've seen teens machine gun a beer joint in the 60's because they were throwing beer bottles at their cars, and that's just one of the stupid things I've seen people around here do. Seen a car crashing contest in McDowell county, and that claimed three lives, all just to see how far their cars could roll after crashing. Different parts of WV, are like going to a foreign country, or at least it used to be, now everyone is on welfare, and popping pills.

I laughed so hard at those kids for the most part I didn't see too much being wrong with it. I'll say this the outside fun they have is the one thing I regret my kids never learned to enjoy. My greatest childhood memories include mud holes, great vines, climbing trees, and finding ways to get downhill fast. Those kids know how to play outside. I don't know how much I'll agree with the partying, but the acting crazy now that's how it's supposed to be, and not kids sitting on video games 24/7. Kids not exploring their outdoors is where it's all went wrong

I think those kids really do some of those things on a regular basis, but there's no way it's all real. Just like any other tv show, some of it was staged and planned out. About the only thing I got out of it, was that the Cara girl is a whore. She let the Shain guy put his hands around her and rest in her crotch, and then she slept w/that other dude. I also don't believe all of them are from WV, bc u can tell by the way they talk and their accent which ones are and which ones are NOT. I won't be watching it again.

Better than the trashy wild wonderful whites of wv. At least these kids aren't glorifying selling and snorting pills and doing that ridiculous hillbilly clogging bs

Well said, this show could be much worse, and portray the pill addicted, kid producing, welfare riding backwoods things. Hey race it, it's not like we all didn't do some wild shit growing up, I'm sure everyone has done some of this at some point

Once you drive past Beckely headed North, its a different world. Yes, a couple may have a different accent than we do here on the show because not everyone in this state has that strong of one.

The kids are just having fun. Give them a break. And yes, we DO act like this in West Virginia. We know how to have fun and enjoy our friends. For those of you that say "well, I never" I feel sorry for you. You lived a sbeltered and boring life. I'm in my 50s and a professional. We did the same except for the pool in the truck thingy. They are smarter than we were! I think its pretty clever. I would much rather watch Buck Wild and laugh and think about my youth before all the hair/make-up/business clothes/heels and bills than to watch an Intervention show and see just our young kids strung out and destroying not only themselves but everyone and everything around them.

These kids on Buck Wild make me a PROUD West Virginian! They know how to have fun and be kids. Hats off to them!

I think I'm gonna like it too. I never said I didn't to begin with I just said I think they did some dangerous stuff. Almost all of us that were raised here did the things they are doing. I hope this show is successful and the kids make some money and ride this as long as they can. I think Shain is going to be the star of this show. I also like Washington Heights. I read were the 2 shows are competing for the Jersey Shore slot. I hope they both do good.

Really these kids ard not betraying west Virginia badly. There is not much to do in this state. Growing up in this wonderful state gave me and my friends the opportunity to be free. We al did these crazy things growing up ten years ago and some probably did worse. Give them a break they are just having fun and living wild and free!

I am not impressed with the show, nor how it portrays this young group of West Virginians. Personally, I would not allow myself to be "dumbed down" for the sake of a television show.

Strange how people love reality shows until it comes home. Do you think the people in Jersey act like the imbecils on that show or that everyone in Kentucky lives like Honey Boo Boo. How about watching The Kardashians, Real Housewives, Swamp People? Really people we are a nation enthralled with werewolves, vampires, zombies. We no longer read books unless it like "Fifty Shades of Gray".Our children's biggest decision is how can I fit another tatoo or piercing on my body? I won't watch the show but did see a few of them on Jimmy Kimmel. We are all mushbrains. Even our so-called family shows are terrible. We cannot blame MTV.....stupidity sells and they are selling it to you. You want to change it quit watching hour after hour of meaningless programming. So much porn on the internet. When was the last time your family did something that didn't pertain to electronics? I don't have MTV so I won't be watching....wouldn;t anyway as I actually have a life.

i perosnally love the show. yeah it shows that YOUNG ADULTS are crazy sometimes, but everyone goes thru that stage, they were just proud enough of what they to to make it into a show..i say more power to em, and do what they want despite what others think..EFF the haters who dont like it, its a show. if you dont like it, DONT WATCH IT. and the comment above me, this is true! but they caught a few kids who like to have fun the old fashion way..at least they are on tv like "THE WONDERFUL WHITES OF WEST VIRGINIA"
