August 12, 2010 A long time local man was involved in a one vehicle accident, complications lead to his death. A local tow service charged $305.00 to tow the vehicle ( that was still driveable) less than five miles. The victims wallet was noted to have a significant amount of money present at the scene of the accident. After being transported to a local medical facility, the wallet was found to be empty. Not only did the family loose their father, they have the memories of him being robbed twice prior to his death.

Wow you have got to be kidding me. What kind of low life piece of trash could even think of doing such a thing ? Was it not bad enough that this towing company took advantage of this man on his death bed I mean come on.... 300 bucks! Isnt that considered price gouging ? Sounds like the tow company should refund your money and apologize for your loss. As for the missing money I really cant begin to imagine what kind of heartless coward would have the nerve to steal a mans money while in transit to the local medical facility. Sounds like these peole are some real winners. To the family involved I am sure justice will be served.Karma truely is a bitch. We will all have to pay for our wrong doings at our final judgement day. I can only hope for the wrong doers in this case that a day doesnt go by that you dont think of what you have done. I wish you many sleepless nights mr tow guy and mr transporter guy for what you have done to this already grieving family.

Arent towing companies controlled by the Public Service Commission? If so then they cant charge more than the PSC allows..Id call them and check in to that. Also Im assuming that one of the EMT's emptied the wallet in route to the hospital..Have you called the company that transported him?

Thats not good. Arent these people the ones we all count on to save our lives not rob us blind ? Wonder how these same people would feel if the table was turned and their family was taken advantage of like this....Wouldn't feel to good would it ? They should all be ashamed of themselves.

any body that would do such a thing to an injured or deceased person is the scum of the earth;they dont deserve to have the right to work in positions that are supposed to help people in need, not rob and steal them blind, LOW LIFE TRASH

Johnny's Towing? Hope $300 was worth going out of business... lol

Most of the Towing Businesses, Are a rip off anyway. And, very rude I might add. But, to steal from a dieing man... Is a very low move.

I wonder why I haven't seen this in the police blog, or anywhere else in the newspaper. Is this something that they are trying to hide? Or, is this something that the county commission has voted on to keep the public from knowing.
