Its like any other job its what you make of it. The good employees like it and do a good job and the sorry employees hate it and quit or get fired and talk trash on Topix.

Yes it is. If you like helping people that cant help theirselves. Do not trash this company. I work there and I love it. I feel good to help people.

The Co. It's self is not the best place to work for, some HS don't take their job seriously and forget that they should be there for the clients not the Bonuses, and let lazy workers do as they please just b/c that employee will kiss their ass, while ppl that are there and work get treated like carp. HOWEVER it is a good job if you like helping others, it's easy to get very attached to the clients and like wise they get attached to you and it makes you happy when you know that you are helping to make them happy and better their lives

na I work there and everything is looked over biggest joke in the world we don't even have an OSHA book in the home I sure hope they show up lol and the tcS are even bigger jokes especially Brian McCabe comes out and promises the clients stuff to get the behavior to stop then when it's time to fill the promise guess what he can't do it I'd love to smack him right in his mouth
Trust me HS get no Bonus and make about 2 dollars more than Direct Care (with no OT) and the biggest part of their job is to Manage the Employees who take care of the clients (thats a full time job trust me). Same thing with TCs actually the TCs are not supposed to come out and "stop" the behavior they are supposed to show you how to deal with it. But like I said its what you make of it. But HS get no Bonus they did a long time ago but it was for things like keeping OT down which is impossible when employees call in as much as they do. Gets your facts straight!!!!!!!

I worked at Rescare & LOVED my job. However, you are completely on your own with the clients. In training they say you can always call a TC or a nurse to come out and help you if you have a problem, but when it actually comes down to that time they are NOWHERE to be found. Also the managers treat the good employees terribly. I worked there for 6 months, NEVER called in once, & was NEVER late. However when I asked for ONE day off 2 weeks in advance to help my mother out, my home supervisor basically told me to go to hell. Its also a lot of drama between your coworkers too, that's why all my shifts were 1:2 shifts meaning I was alone with my clients. Less BS. I loved my clients though. Ive been gone for 4 months and they still come to visit me at my new job every week. It takes a lot out of you when you work for that company so you have to be VERY strong minded.

In NC home.managers do.get.bonuses they.are paid salary, however now they are able to work.direct care and get paid hourly plus their salaries. Home.managers.can.give bonuses to.their.workers.in.their.home .if they.choose too. The.com pany had a good.year but still no bonus. You really have to.love your clients.because.the.pay.aint.s h@@. Alot of home.managers show favoritism. It sucks
