Maranatha Baptist Church on Oakvale Road in Princeton, WV is an AWESOME church! Pastor Mills and his family make everyone feel welcome -- from the richest, to the poor.

no offence.where i come from in Maryland.we love all people, butthe wealthy usually sit near the front.the poor have a place in the rear of the church.its nothing personal.its just based onclass and income.the back rows of the church are just as nice as the front.

from what im being told.several of your area churches follow these teachings also.its really nothing new.its like buying an airplane ticket.you get what you pay for.each class of people have their own work to do in church.the upper class pay more for their ticket,so they get better positions.

Okay, I see what your trying to do here, your trying to start another pathetic debate to make Christians look like the bad guys. So, just for the record Jesus taught that we should serve one another, we are to help each other. He also told the rich man to sell all his worldly possesions and follow Him. Jesus slept next to a campfire most of the time. The Bible also teaches that it is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter God's Kingdom. Does that mean God wants us to be poor? NO!! But we are to be thankful for our blessings in whatever form He sees fit to give us, whether its in money, friends, or family or all of the above. We are to bless others as we are blessed and we are not to boast about our wealth by sitting on the front pew to distinguish ourselves. I do believe God calls those ppl hypocrites, not children. So please, take your mumbo jumbo beliefs to the alter and get right with God, then pull up a pew anywhere you feel comfortable, I gurantee when you put all that crap under the blood of Jesus you'll find that no matter if you sit on the floor, He will be sitting right next to you, in fact He will be living in your heart he will be so close to you. Goodnight and God Bless. For Real.

Thank you for you comment I don't go to church much and I know I need to and I do want to go. But one of the reasons I don't go is because of attitudes from the other persons comments. I don't think God cares about how much money you make but the kind of person you are and how you live your life.
I make good money so its not I can't afford to sit in the front personally I don't like people sitting behind me so I like to sit in the back

ive been in several of the larger chuches in the past year.i was told i had to be in a click ormake large donations and tithes to take part in most.i wasnt allowed to sing a song or play the piano because of my financial status.they kept making excuses or putting me off.BUT if they neede light buls changed, toilets fixed, had a leak in the roof, grass mowed they didnt hesitate to call me.i wont mention the name of the churches.just was wondering if anyone was dealing with the same dicrimination.
