Please help...i really want to have my ceremony at Glenwood park then my reception at the Chuck Mathena Center...but like i said i am terrified that itll be cold in April. Should i move the wedding or find an indoor place im satisfied with?

thinking over the years, april is too windy to have an outside wedding and we just about ALWAYS get some kind of snow throughout April. I would schedule an outside wedding, but I'd have an alternate plan just in case.

well its really up to you but April the weather is crazy sometimes and the way the weather has been this year who knows what it will be like. I would find a indoor place i'm also getting married and as much as I would love to get married outside i think its to risky. If u do go for outside make sure to have a backup plan which could cost a lot of money to have to places. Ya just never know. congradulatons

wedding planners are great and it makes things less stressful. There are a few bridal shows coming up in the area it would be a good idea to go to them and get some ideas there is one at the mall on feb 20 and in beckley on feb 27

If it were me, I would not do an outside wedding in April. Have you ever heard "April showers bring May flowers." The weather in April is too screwy in my opinion for an outside wedding. If you dead set on an outside wedding, I'd suggest pushing it back until after Memorial Day. If you don't want to wait that long, definitely have a back up plan. Remember though, that whether or not you use the back up plan, you'll probably still have to pay for the place. Good luck and Congrats!

My sons birthday is at the end of April, and I cant tell you how many times that we planned an outdoor party for him , and had to bring it in doors because of the weather. It almost always rains and is very cold on his special day.I wish you the very best on your wedding, but if I were you I would plan for your special day to be indoors, April is to unpredictable weather wise. Good Luck!

Yes April is way to cold to have a wedding. I had a friend actually get married in May and it was a chilly windy day. Wedding planners are wonderful.

well heres you a little help i hope. If you are planning it at Glenwood Park I hope you have reservations already made because I did the same thing I waited til March to get incontact with him and we had to have it in may (which worked out great) or wait til september. we went with May. I was planning on it to be April 19 and it was outside but when he didnt have that date I had to settle for something less and lets just say just about every weekend in april it rained and it rained on the day I wanted to get married so we went in May and it was nice and beautiful and warm! so if you want one outside I would say May. and if you havent reserved your spot you might wanna call him and ask him. Good Luck and Best wishes!
