No sorry not bullying! She was depressed over a boy! Guess she felt hopeless. People need to stop blaming schools & look @ parents that need to pay more attention to their kids & know what's going on so they can stop the problems before a tragedy occurs!
This is true and the was cheating on her but said he is not to be blamed

I heard there were some bullying, most of it from a girl that was involved with the teen that died in lakebottom not long ago. maybe this girl needs some help or to be taken out of the schools. I also heard her home live wasn't good.

I read some of the facebooks and one parent involved. And it's clear, that boundaries and lines were crossed for child and parent. It is very disturbing. Not that everyone should be perfect. But I think the language and sexual content was not appropriate. I guess to me it's so sad because I believe she could have been helped. Maybe it will save another chid.

A young boy just died recently from a bully related incident. Kids should not be suspended from school for kicking a bullies azz. Most of them was raised by parents that don't pay attention to their kids anyway, so they like the attention they get at school by picking on kids.

I believe Bullies are seeking attention they may not receive at home. Give Bullies some authority and attention and put them in charge of stopping bullying. Give them strict guidance as to what they can and can not do and make sure it is known who they are and what the may do. Similar to a trustee on prison. This might be a way of giving them the attention they seek. Far out? Maybe, but nothing else seems to work.

I just wanted parents and teachers to know that schools are hiding bullying so they won't have to deal with it. I'm in the ninth grade and cannot learn as I shoud for worrying about being pounced on between classes. The main bully is a teacher's child and never gets in troublle. I go to a mercer county school and an afraid every day.

I am out raged that no one can help stop this bullies. Parents teach your children from right and wrong. Teachers unfortunately have to pick up the slack from parents and punish these bullies in order to protect those being bullied. Children have a voice Ann. Dont be afraid to use it even if you feel no one is listening. Eventually someone will hear you. You should not go to school being scared everyday. See a counselor or someone you trust and tell them what is going on. We send our children to school thinking they will be safe and there not. My heart breaks for these children and I wonder when Americans will wake up and invite God back into our lives, schools, and homes. Untill then the devil will continue to take over.

Bullying and so many other emotional problems exist in our schools and communities. maybe if the communities at large would DEMAND better, DO better by our children; WE would see BETTER. The vast majority of teachers, counselors in this county do an excellent job but find it hard to maintain control of classes when the students are allowed to tell them what they are or aren't going to do. The Board should get out and MAKE IT a priority to visit every school between now and June to observe and talk to the students and staff alike. When one pays a superintendent the salary like we do; we deserve more than an official sitting behind doors. Get out among the village.
Our students deserve to this. Having Security or resource officers also do not amount to anything if they cannot get more involved in the day to day safety education of the total environment. One final though as a previous poster posted--INVITE GOD back into the Schools.

Bullying was not the case in this little girls death. She was upset over a relationship problem. Although we do have rude and bullying kids, and alot of them in Mercer county, that was not the case this time.

Yes, the world was in a better place back when prayer and the pledge was said in schools!! However, things change and this world is no different. Our God is in our hearts and goes with us with every step we take!! He never forsakes us..Doesnt wait outside the school to watch over our kids at 3:15..He is every where present and no where absent. He suffers these things to happen.. Such a sad tragedy. My prayers for this little girls family!!

We as parents need to teach our kids how to deal with things in life. Teach right from wrong and how to treat others and themselves. It not just the schools responsibility to teach your kids

I don't want my children's school to teach them about God, leave that to me. Some Christians believe once saved, always saved. Other Christians believe even if you are a believer/follower of Christ and you sin& don't have time to repent before you die in a car accident, you go to hell. Schools can stick to teaching them to read & write.
