If u bank at FCB and have your checks stolen and forged, make sure u get a lawyer. They withheld information from us and then refused to reimburse us for over 3000 dollars in checks that were all passed at various bank branches claiming that we did not follow proper procedures.

We filed affidavits with the bank and took them to the police dept the same day. We were told that the police report would be faxed to the bank within two weeks. We waited and waited and nothing happened. We finally checked on it and were told that they never got the police report and that thy could do nothing for us because it was over the time limit. I don't know if it wasn't sent or if it was lost during the banks moving out of the building. My wife assures me she was never informed that she had to deliver this document from the PD herself. There was an arrest and conviction in this case but we were never compensated although every single check was cashed by the bank itself and not at other locations. It just makes me sick. It really hurt us financially but the bank could care less

I do heavy construction labor and my wife cares for disabled persons . We don't make a lot of money and we work very hard for it. I have a toddler and an infant to care for and I just feel that now I have been robbed twice.

You might check with the WV Crime Victims Compensation Fund. They may reimburse some of your loss.

Well, that won't work. You have to receive a physical injury as a result of a crime to be eligible.
I believe it

Has anyone else had trouble with FCB?
FCB sucks

FCB is one of the worst banks I have ever dealt with besides BB&T. My husbands check goes in a tuesday at midnight every 2 weeks. Every 2 weeks we can check every wednesday morning and it always shows no money although we know it's in there. Just like everybody else when you get paid you usually have bills to pay and groceries to get. We can spend some money and it will show in the negative and they will try to charge us a $32 overdraft fee. Every 2 weeks I have to call and have it fixed. They are very unorganized. As soon as my check clears tomorrow, I am withdrawing the money and going to a new bank. I'm really sorry for what happened to you and I wish there was somewhere I could tell you to go for help.

We had no experience with dealing with this type of thing, but the bank should have been more helpful and understanding. It certainly wouldn't put them out of business to help us, but it really has put us and the children in a bind

When you have checks stolen you have to report it to the police and fill out the forgery affidavit, which is what you did from what I read. From there if the police find who stole the checks(which you said they did) the court will order them to reimburse you. We have nothing to do with that. That is the same as someone stealing your vehicle, if you find who did it then they are responsible for paying for the damage of the vehicle not Ramey(or where ever you purchased it). Think about it. I hate that happened to you but it is out of our hands the police HAVE to take care of that we legally cannot if they have found the person and they were convicted.

Now, as for "FCB Sucks," If your check comes in Tuesday at midnight then it is not Tuesday it is Wednesday and your funds are available to use Wednesday morning when they are memo posted to your account. As for the ODH fees, if you had a check come in tues night (before midnight, because that means it is Wednesday) and it caused you to overdraft you will accrue a fee because the credit did not hit your account until the next day(12am Wednesday morning)your employer who pays you sets up your direct deposit as soon and they send it we post it, you might want to let you HR Dept at your employers to post during the business day on Tuesday. If you have any disputes about a NSF fee you can always talk to the manager at your branch to help resolve the issue.

In closing I do apologize for the issues you all have had with FCB, but me being and employee as well as a customer for years, before I was employeed, I really like this bank. There are your spoiled apples in every bunch but the entire company should not be degraded because of those few incidents or people even though those people are supposed to represent us as a whole. Please think through your situation and look through the banks eyes at that situation before posting negitives about the company. Our customers are our #1 priotity!!!

The comparision you made to a person having their car stolen is not apt. The people came into FCB and cashed the checks. FCB gave them the money. It would be more like if Ramey gave them the keys to my car.

Oh Yes, the bank is required to reimburse the funds into the account after an affidavit has been filed. So you think it is up to the police to put the funds back during the court process? Thats crazy. Yes the criminal is usually required to make restitution and guess who that is to? The bank because the bank is deemed the victim after the funds are replaced into the victim's account. It doesn't go to the victim cause the money is suppose to have been replaced by the bank. What do you think FDIC is for. Bet the bank turned the loss over to them. Also bet the bank got payed twice. Seems some Feds may want to look deeper these bank swindles. Thats all it is, a swindle.

That is not the excuse they gave us. The bank said we were two weeks late in bringing in a police report . The problem is they never informed us that we were responsible for obtaining this document. Now they come up with a whole new response. You can tell by this what a run around we have got from PCB. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND COMMENTS !

I think the public expects more from an institution that bases its reputation on trust than this example of blatant misinformation to cover their treatment of these people. Perhaps others might want to rethink their relationship with such an organization.

It seems that no one from the bank is talking anymore. Are there any lawyers out there that can help?

I recieved a check in the mail. Took it to FCB, to MELVA, she approved the check, she took it to the cashier and cashed it applied payments, and gave me change. Then She and KEITH lied on the stand that my car was repo-ed. They charged me with a felony cause the check I recieved in the mail was fraud. Its all bullshit. SIMPLE. Not to mention lying to cops, etc.
