This goes out to all those un-American individuals who hate our democratically elected president!

To all of those who committed treason-like actions by signing petitions to secede from the union!

To all of those who insist on displaying this nation's flag upside down for inappropriate reasons! The ONLY time that is acceptable is when signaling for help in a dire emergency, otherwise it signifies disrespect to our flag and country!

To all of those who want to deny equal rights to others based upon religious belief alone! Our forefathers fought and died to give us ALL freedom FROM religious rule of ANY kind!

To all of those who think they are better than any other immigrant to this country! Our great-great grandparents were the original ANCHOR BABIES! Just ask an American Indian, they'll tell you who the immigrants are!

To all of those who want to starve the poor or eliminate minimum wage! This isn't a third world country with feces being deposited in rivers, and employers paying pennies a day! This is AMERICA and we look out for each other here!

To all of those who whine and complain about paying taxes! Those taxes help support YOUR lifestyle. They keep your neighborhoods in shape, educate people so that they at have a shot at being productive to society, pave the roads for your SUV, and keep children fed and clothed, so that you won't see them filthy, starving, and bumming quarters outside of Walmart when you go to buy a new Chinese TV.

You don't like that? Move back to where your family came from! The doors are wide OPEN. I hope your ancestors came from France, Spain, Italy, or Sweden, so that you'll have people telling you to learn the local language!

I'm sick to death of hearing the people who hate this country the most telling other people to get out. If you don't like it? YOU get out. I'll help you pack! LMAO!

Or you can stay here and learn to compromise. You can learn that the same laws that protect your rights also protects the rights of people you don't like or agree with.

This goes out to all those un-American individuals who hate our democratically elected president!-Yes, like it or not the President was democratically elected and has another four year term and we should stop complaining. I'm sure you were telling people the same thing through eight years of President Bush, right?

To all of those who committed treason-like actions by signing petitions to secede from the union!-This doesn't exactly qualify as treason though I do agree it really didn't make any sense to bring these petitions. Seemed kind of odd to me as well.

To all of those who insist on displaying this nation's flag upside down for inappropriate reasons! The ONLY time that is acceptable is when signaling for help in a dire emergency, otherwise it signifies disrespect to our flag and country!-You are correct. No one should display the flag this way, even if you feel that the country is in distress. I'm sure you have the same hard feelings toward those who replace the stars on the flag with their own symbol or likeness. Let's no forget about those who burn the flag because they say they have a right too.

To all of those who want to deny equal rights to others based upon religious belief alone! Our forefathers fought and died to give us ALL freedom FROM religious rule of ANY kind!-I assume your talking about the equal rights of an unborn child, right? I'm sure you agree with me that it's very hypocritical to say it's ok to murder a child by abortion but then want to charge a person with two counts of murder if they kill a pregnant woman.

To all of those who think they are better than any other immigrant to this country! Our great-great grandparents were the original ANCHOR BABIES! Just ask an American Indian, they'll tell you who the immigrants are!- Yes, no one is better than any one else based on the color of their skin or where they are from. I absolutely agree with this one. I also agree that they don't deserve free health care, free cell phone, free food stamps and all the rest because the decided to skirt around the rules of immigration.

To all of those who want to starve the poor or eliminate minimum wage! This isn't a third world country with feces being deposited in rivers, and employers paying pennies a day! This is AMERICA and we look out for each other here!-Actually if you travel some of the back roads in McDowell county you will find raw sewage being deposited into local creeks. No lie. Just saying.

To all of those who whine and complain about paying taxes! Those taxes help support YOUR lifestyle. They keep your neighborhoods in shape, educate people so that they at have a shot at being productive to society, pave the roads for your SUV, and keep children fed and clothed, so that you won't see them filthy, starving, and bumming quarters outside of Walmart when you go to buy a new Chinese TV.-I live in a subdivision. No tax dollars here. That's why I pay dues to the association. I don't whine about paying taxes, just much higher taxes. EVERYONE should pay taxes. oh, and what do you have against the Chinese? They make fine TV's.

You don't like that? Move back to where your family came from! The doors are wide OPEN. I hope your ancestors came from France, Spain, Italy, or Sweden, so that you'll have people telling you to learn the local language!-If you leave one place for another because you think it's so much better, why do you want to make it like the place you left by keeping language and tradition in place?

I'm sick to death of hearing the people who hate this country the most telling other people to get out. If you don't like it? YOU get out. I'll help you pack! LMAO!-No time to pack. I have to work to pay for those who won't.

Or you can stay here and learn to compromise. You can learn that the same laws that protect your rights also protects the rights of people you don't like or agree with.-EXACTLY! That's what we saw from unions in Michigan yesterday. Compromise!

You cannot get sued for saying Merry Christmas. Even if you could, what does that have to do with the government? Some people are so sue-happy that they'd try to sue their grandmother for giving them a kiss, but that's not the government's fault.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but: God is not in the Constitution. The only reference of anything even close is when writing dates, they sometimes used the phrase "In the year of our Lord" which was a common phrase at the time. So nobody is trying to take him out of it, because he's not in it.

The phrase "Under God" is in the Pledge of Allegiance. It wasn't put in there by our founding father's though, it was added in 1954, before that it was "One nation, indivisible" with nothing in between. The placement is pretty ironic, really, when you think about it. The phrase "In God We Trust" was added to our money in 1956 because people of that era wanted to use it to replace our unofficial motto "El pluribus unum" which was adopted in 1782.

So you see, God has actually been put in our government, not taken out. If these phrases were to be removed, it wouldn't be altering our government, it would be removing alterations made in the 50's. I don't really mind whether the phrases stay or go, but be assured that they have nothing to do with the intentions of this nation's founders.

HA HA: I couldn't quote your post because it contained too many characters.

You seem to agree with me as often as you disagree with me. I did actually wait out the Bush presidency. I disagreed with many things he did, but I didn't turn my flag upside-down, claim it was end times, call him a foreign terrorist, demand his birth certificate, and sign secession petitions.

Actually, yes I am against all disrespectful treatment of our flag. Even the hideous butchering done to it by bikini manufacturers.

I wasn't talking about abortion, actually. I was referencing the attempts to ban legally recognized gay marriage, which are based purely on religious grounds. I'm not sure how I feel about abortion, as it's a pretty sticky issue even without religious involvement.

No tax dollars? Did you attend a public school? Get federal loans or grants for college? Do you drive on public roadways? Do you call the taxpayer funded police when you need help? Make use of any ot the countless public buildings or services? We're all using tax dollars in some form or another.

Yes, there are poverty stricken areas in the US, my point was that doing nothing will only worsen the situation for all of us.

I don't have anything against the Chinese. I was calling out the people who complain about "foreigners," outsourcing, and a lack of American made products, for causing their own issues. You know the type.

Why do they want to make it more like the place they left? Because becoming fluent in a new language is hard and can take years. Many immigrants are learning English, but it's not an instant thing. Besides this is America, and yet we speak English. We brought our language with us, did we not?

Work to pay for those who won't? Oh dear, do you mean poor people, the businesses getting bailouts and tax refunds, or both?

I disagreed with many things he did, but I didn't turn my flag upside-down, claim it was end times, call him a foreign terrorist, demand his birth certificate, and sign secession petitions.- That's a fair assessment. Yes some people have gone a little to extreme. I by no means am a fan of President Obama but you can disagree without being disagreeable. The secession petitions were a little quirky and yes the "birther" thing is something I've always thought was goofy, even when the Hillary supporters started it.

Actually, yes I am against all disrespectful treatment of our flag. Even the hideous butchering done to it by bikini manufacturers.- As a veteran I completely agree with you here.

I wasn't talking about abortion, actually. I was referencing the attempts to ban legally recognized gay marriage, which are based purely on religious grounds. I'm not sure how I feel about abortion, as it's a pretty sticky issue even without religious involvement.- Actually I knew what you meant, I just wanted to throw that out there as a topic for discussion.

No tax dollars? Did you attend a public school? Get federal loans or grants for college? Do you drive on public roadways? Do you call the taxpayer funded police when you need help? Make use of any ot the countless public buildings or services? We're all using tax dollars in some form or another.- Actually, read my post again. I said no tax dollars in my neighborhood. You are correct about schools and roads. My only gripe about taxes being raised is that I don't feel like taxes are spent appropriately now so I don't think the government would do any better with more money. I'm all for raising taxes to actually improve things like roads and especially schools if they use it for that.

Yes, there are poverty stricken areas in the US, my point was that doing nothing will only worsen the situation for all of us.
I don't have anything against the Chinese. I was calling out the people who complain about "foreigners," outsourcing, and a lack of American made products, for causing their own issues. You know the type.-Oh, yes I know what you mean. That Chinese thing was just a joke. I didn't take it that you didn't like Chinese people.

Why do they want to make it more like the place they left? Because becoming fluent in a new language is hard and can take years. Many immigrants are learning English, but it's not an instant thing. Besides this is America, and yet we speak English. We brought our language with us, did we not?- Well, sort of. I hope this doesn't oversimplify it but here is what I compare immigration to. If I moved from say Mexico to the US, I don't think that the people around me should have to adapt to my ways. I should adapt to theirs. Does that make sense? It would be like going to Burger King and telling them to fix my hamburger like McDonalds does. No, if I want a McDonalds hamburger I should go to McDonalds. Not to expect Burger King to change the way they do things for me.

Work to pay for those who won't? Oh dear, do you mean poor people, the businesses getting bailouts and tax refunds, or both?- None of the above. First, I am a small business owner and I can tell you first hand that the 19 small business tax cuts that were said to have been given are bologna. I have owned my business since 2004 and they just aren't there. My business has never gotten a tax refund. Secondly, I certainly don't mean poor people. I'm talking about the people who live on government assistance because they are too lazy to work and cause the ones who need the money to either not be able to receive it or not receive enough. I could take you to a family right now that is as able bodied to work as I am and they live off the government because they can get away with it. The ones who do that take away from those who need it. We need to police entitlements.
