Signed up with Frontier around 10/2012, we were suppose to receive a 100.00 visa debit card. After numerous calls made we still haven't received the card. Had several unknown charges on the bill as well that they did credit. I've read tons of bad reviews about frontier online from other customers. Any customers here locally have issues with them?

I could write a book. I used to constantly stay on the phone as all sorts of crazy charges. I got an extra laptop one time and this strange 7 dollar charge showed up. I called and they said that was so I could take my laptop other places. I told them to "get that off my bill" as I am not taking the laptop anywhere. They are not as bad a Direct tv. I had problem with Direct and called so they gave me FREE 3 months movies. Then they had a charge for those 3 moths. Called made them get rid of the mess, then another charge on there for getting rid of it. I called again. If they could would sneak a charge on there for using free air. SCAN YOUR BILL AS THEY ARE ALL SNEAKY

Frontier was nothing but problem after problem for me. They are the only landline provider where I live. Their Internet was slow or nonexistent all the time. Their phone was plagued with static and service was zero. When we called they would say there was nothing found wrong with their lines.
I broke my
"contract" with them by continually calling and complaining about this and collecting the case comfirmation numbers. Finally told them to hit the road. They tried to charge me for breaking the contract. I mentioned all the problems I'd had and that I had proof. They just let it go. Have Hughesnet and a smart phone w/straight talk. Works fine and saving a little money too.

We have had Frontier for about 10 years and luckily we haven't had many issues. The small ones that did come up were taken care of with no problems or extra charges.

The past 2 months I have had A major problem Dec bill was over 500 dollars and January was 1500 hundred. I have spent a total of about 5 hours in the past 2 months trying to straighten this out. It was all for calling our cell phone because it is a ling distance number. But we have unlimited long distance through frontier. To make a long story short they said it was a glitch in their computer system, for our area code and they had alot of this to happen. But we still recieved a cut off notice....Really if it were in my name and not my mother in laws and it wouldnt mess her phone up I will not have even wasted 5 hours of my time trying to get the problem resolved. I would have just let them cut it off and got a straight talk home phone for 15 dollars a month. I have straight talk cell service and love it.

the only issues that i do have with frontier is their dsl internet is slow, and you do not get the speeds that they promise either. I know that they can not gurantee a speed, but to be so far off from the speeds, that shouldnt be

I have a business and their was a charge from some company on my bill. I asked the lady at frontier when I called and she said it was a company that calls to receive your payment and they charged me like $35.00. I told her I didn't know what it was and it was an unauthorized charge. She said frontier didn't have anything to do with it. I let her know real quick that if it's on my frontier bill and I didn't agree to it I was not paying for it. She informed me she could only take it off this one time. If it happens again I'll be dropping them.

Frontier was a relatively small telco who purchased a lot of areas from verizon in surrounding areas. Frontier has neither the money or man power to keep up the infrastructure. There "fastest" DSL is 3mbps down/.5mbps up compared to Comcast's "slowest" which is 10/3... It's all about being able to keep up and upgrade, not just try to tread water.
