I don't know who you are but you should know what you are talking about before you run your mouth. As much as I despise the MM and the majority of their board members and coaches what you are saying is just an attempt to stir up s**t.

According to the way the league is set up kids from Bluefield schools are in the MM district. With the addition of Bluefield into the league the players in Bluefield have the choice of playing for the MM or Bluefield city.

First of all, this is midget league football, not the NFL, so you really need to get a life. And second of all, the midget coaches are Tom Lankford and Larry Kirby, and anyone who knows these men know that they have coached for the MinuteMen for years, they've never stacked a team, or gambled on them. We do have a boy that played for the Bluefield League last year, but he had played for the MinuteMen for 3 years, so who stole who? You need to stop trying to cause drama and let these kids enjoy their year!

I think that the only thing wrong with the Minutemen is that the parents try to let their kids be kids and have a good time! They don't sit arund worrying over who is going to win a LITT^LE KIDS football game! They try to get along with each other, the other teams, enjoy, and teach their kids to do the same. Maybe we should ALL try that, huh?

You obviously don't know anything about the Minutemen organization other than what they show the parents to make themselves llok good. The Minutemen organization is all about winning, winning, winning.

They do nothing but argue with and alienate other teams.

When they get a chance they do what they can to run the score up on opposing teams (which only hurts the kids playing on the other teams).

The have fought and fought to keep Bluefield out of the league because they would rather the kids not play then play for another team because they might lose that one kid that can run real fast.

They keep coaches associated with their team who have been known to cheat and teach their players to hurt the good players on the other teams in order to win.

The Minutemen organization is about one thing. Getting the wins so the people in charge can go to work on Monday and brag and make themselves seem like big shots like they just won the Superbowl or something.

Once again you know nothing about what goes on. Our boys have never been taught to hurt other players or to cheat. I am a parent that is at almost every practice, so I do see what goes on. Our coaches are always positive and supportive of our boys, both on and off the field. What I love most is how they leave even the toughest practice, they still can't wait to come back. They try to make each kid feel important no matter their speed and position played.
You really need to remember that this is about the kids! Yes we may cheer and scream loud, but every team does. Thats because win or lose we all love and support our kids!
When you get on here bashing the team name and coaches you are really bashing the kids. There is no need for that.

If you want to talk about bashing or hurting kids why don't you ask your board about taking away from the kids on another team because of the vote that the other teams director made regarding a league decision.

Plus I have personally seen MM players try to hurt kids during games and I have heard MM coaches on the sidelines telling them to do it. Nobody has said anything abouot cheering and rooting for the team, that is what every team does. And talking about coaches and board members has nothing to do with the kids.

So tell me, how many of our practices have you been too? These are hard working boys who deserve a fair shot like every other team. As for our coaches, Tom Lankford is one of the most wonderful coaches in the league. He teaches all the boys sportsmanship and to be fair. Our boys don't intentionally hurt any player, but I know a few teams that do. Which one do you coach for?

Every one is entitled to their own opinion, but when it comes to children maybe you should just backoff and stop being a jackass. Do you even have a child in the league?

That is the best idea I have heard here! Let's let the kids be kids and keep the grown up drama out! Support, love and cheer them on win or lose!

Yea people get real man it's litttle league.

I use to play for the raiders and it wasn't about wining but teamwork. I played for Stacey hicks all my little league seasons.

Great coach. And as far as the MM stacking the team. I highly doubt that. It must be good coaching and hard practice.

It's been awhile sense I've seen either team play.

Now gambling on a little league team. Come on it's hard to tell which team is gonna win.

I'd love to coach for the raiders. I did for 1 season but it was for the little guys flag football. Great experience. Didn't matter if we won or lose but to see these guys play it's great.

Anybody know how I could coach for the raiders?

You must be refering to the "taking away" of a certain item at the bengals field? Something that doesn't belong to you anyway? If we are here to tell the truth, lets tell it all. Do you still have the minutemens score board? Are you still going to use it this season? Did the minutemen president not tell your president that you were free to use it because of the kids? Sounds like you need to get your facts straight. As for seeing minutemen kids trying to hurt kids, I don't know about that. Coaches telling them to do it? Are you serious? I don't know what position you hold with the bengals but I'll say this, those kids deserve better than you.

Actually I don't hold a position with the Bengals and my children have moved on, I am still friends with people who are part of the organization and was there long enough to have seen and heard things.

As far as the scoreboard not belonging to the Bengals, you are right. The scoreboard was actually donated to the field, which would be both teams. And the Bengals put money into the scoreboard to get it installed and running and a Bengals coach at the time worked to help run the wiring for it to the press box. So when it comes down to it it doesn't really belong to the Minutemen either. The point of the post was to point out that the Minutemen aren't completely innocent either and do have the wool pulled over the eyes of the people who think that they "are all about the kids."

As far as coaches telling players to hurt kids it has been done and heard. Hopefully those coaches have moved on since I don't recognize the names of the coaches that were mentioned in an earlier post.

OK WHY IN THE WORLD IS THIS STUPID STUFF GOING ON??
There isnt any sense what so ever to have a topic started about this? We are there at EVERY practice with the peewee team and watch both peewee and midget. They work the boys hard, if you havent been there to watch then you apparently dont know what you are talking about, this is the most stupid topic I have seen on here yet! good grief its not the NFL and i doubt very seriously the coaches have the boys to "hurt" anyone. my son also played for the MM when he was in school too and to be honest the raiders are a little aggressive to me then and were a few of the players that deliberatly tried to hurt the other team players (one on the raiders grabbed my son and deliberatly grabbed his jersey and slung him around and down, ending up at the ER with a sprained shoulder as well as about 4 other boys having to be there at the same time) it wasnt just the MM either. I have no idea how they are now, this was like back in the late 80's. And being that my grandson and a few friends kids/grankids are playing I hope and pray that they are not like that still. They are just boys trying to play ball and have a good time. so please just parents encourage the kids to have a good time and play their best without getting aggressive to the point to were they get hurt.
Let them have a good time. As long as the parents act like parents and not get volitile the kids and parents can all have a good time. win or lose they are kids and are all great!!
