The only thing that WVVA says is that he got arrested for 20 counts of Child Porn and Obstruction of Justice. http://bdtonline.com/local/x213895445/School-... It's on the Bluefield Daily Telegraph's website. That's what was released in the newspaper.

to me wrote: Sounds to me that little ol shea had something goin on with brett lmao That's none of my business, that would be between them and I could care less. However, I doubt it. I think that the entire situation sucks for everyone. His family and friends and students at the high school. Imagine how this is affecting them; We're talking about a person that they felt they could trust. Everywhere they look, they're hearing about the situation. Although it's great to inform the public, it's got to be affecting them. I can't imagine the uproar that's going to go on throughout the school day tomorrow... Outraged parents, frustrated students. The chaos will be sickening, I'm sure. However, even if there is an issue with the BOE's hiring policies, I feel assured that the principal, Jack Parker, will have everything under control. I feel very certain that he will state his opinion on the matter, and as a former PSHS student, I know that he's one to jump in and get straight to the issue. If Mr. Bowyer is found guilty on the 20 counts that he is facing, I'm sure that Parker will do his part in trying to work toward adjusting the hiring policies, to better protect children in school!

Excuse me, maybe you should learn the definition of opinion before trying to use it against me. She was STATING that she saw him look at her butt. THAT'S NOT AN OPINION FUCKTARD. What I was saying is thy nobody ever spoke illy about him before, but the second he gets arrested, 1000 stories of sexual harassment emerge. I'm not defending him it his actions in any way, but I'm not going to sit idly by and listen to some girl's bullshit. You should go be his attorney. All I'm saying is that if you can talk all kinds of crap to people about what they're saying and you think it's wrong, then why don't you just get off here so you don't have to look at it. What was I supposed to do? Start a thread about him looking at my butt? Umm I think not. Get over it and get off here. You've done pissed enough people off with your bad attitude.

I will say one thing. I have a child who goes to Princeton Senior High School. If they let that pervert back in that school before he is found guilty, Jack Parker will get a visit from me. The Mercer County Board of Education and that lizzy Superintendent Dr. Deborah Akers has a habit of turning their heads to the issues that go on.

I have a feeling there's going to be utter chaos in the building tomorrow; outraged parents lined up out the door. I certainly hope that they don't let him back into the building until after his trial. That's not to be mean or offend anyone, I just think that it would be best for everyone if he was not allowed back until something is determined one way or the other!

Even if Debbie Akers were a lesbian, I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. Grow up, it's 2010. Also, the news has already reported that he won't be back in the school until a full investigation has been conducted. Read a newspaper for crying out loud.

I don't think that sexual orientation is an issue what-so-ever, and even if it were, there are much bigger issues than that right now. I did miss the full story that was in the paper. I only caught what I was able to read on Bluefield Daily Telegraph's website. I didn't catch the part that discussed him being unable to return to the school. I hope to be able to get the full article from my mother-in-law-to-be in the morning.-(Thank you for informing me; I completely missed it(:)-

More than likely this fellow has some friends in high places, and fellow friends in the school system. Wasn't there a guy working at the alternative school arrested and prosecuted for molesting a child there? Did Dr.Akers not re-hire the person for security? Something is not right with this whole picture here, is there some kind of Club Kiddie Porn in our system? Seems like its running through a bunch of Public Employee situations, such as the schools, Corrections, police/security officers whats up with this? Parents pay attention to what your kid is doing! Or better still what someone is doing to your kid! Keep in mind that they are kids, and they will give in to peer pressure and what others are doing, ie the cell phone pictures, however we are the adults and as such we are supposed to be immune to this. As adults we are supposed to set the example, and be the example, not ruin children with our actions and beliefs. Sad sad stories are on here, but other than talking is anyone doing anything to fix the problems?

Also, I think that a kid having a cell phone isn't going to ward off a gunman, and since the teachers/administrators at school call the authorities during any emergency, your point is completely invalid. ok douchelord...they didnt say a cell phone was going to WARD off evil...but if a kid was baracading theirself in a classroom, they could tell 911 where they were...AND the emergency LOCATE feature on the phone can track a phone if some kid is kidnapped. And how in the hell is a teacher suppose to call authorities?????...THERE ARE NO PHONES IN THE CLASSROOM STUPID!

Everyone acts as if this and courtney wallace was the first incident, well its not. Just imagine how many times it has went on years ago and teachers have gotten by with it. Many of them are the most respected, well-liked teacher and community figures who are still out there putting on a show for their wives/husbands, friends, church members and so forth. They should just be glad they never got caught, because when an incident like this happens I am sure guilt consumes their whole entire body. I think every single one of them need to be locked up.

urmistaken wrote: <quoted text> First of all, most teachers give homework to supplement the material that was learned in class! Secondly, an overwhelming number of teachers in Mercer County do what they should be doing! You cannot put the blame on ALL teachers just because a small number are incompetent. Thirdly, if children would learn discipline from their parents at home, and the parents supported the teacher when those "little darlings" misbehaved in class, then the teacher could focus more on what he/she is supposed to do-teach! It only takes a couple of students in a class of 30 to disrupt learning for ALL the students! Lastly, if you think that you can do a better job than your child's teachers, then please go to Concord or Bluefield State, earn your degree, get a teaching job, and then face the disrespect that we receive daily from disruptive kids and apathetic parents! In doing this, I am sure you will see the light and realize that teachers should be compensated a whole lot more than they are! Kids attitudes and behavior at school reflects on the parents. Sorry, but true. I wish the CPS would quit trying to say that time-outs are sufficient for a child. This TIME-OUT generation is a joke. That's why you have all these kids who are disrespectful and always in trouble or never listen. I think the teachers do the best they can with what they have to deal with. How about bringing back the good ole paddle back into school. LOL bet they would straightn up then. Oh My that would be a terrible tragedy to some. Start wippin them kids. I feel sorry for teachers who have to put up with bull from kids who dont know any better because their parents are dumb

In Japan they invented a holiday like mothers day but it makes the age a child starts school and it's a big deal. Granpa will come 500 miles to be there. 95% of education in Japan is private (they have a public school system, it doesn't work) Each school is a little cooler then the next and kids fight to get in the best schools (that's why they wear their seifuku (uniform) on the weekends - they are showing off. The pace of learning is set by the smartest kids (not the dumbest) and kids being kids WILL keep up.

So, whipping, excuse me, spanking your kids is corpral punishment? I don't think so. Spare the rod, spoil the child. And let's face it, we have way too many spoiled kids now. They have no rules and no respect for any kind of authority.
