Ok glad to see we can all agree to disagree. There are lots of female delivery drivers so although you thought you were baiting me... I do not fall into the long haired greasy category.

I believe it should be required by the restaurant to include a minimum of 15% gratuity on every delivery order PERIOD!!! I always give the driver $10 bucks on every order. Come on folks these people work hard for YOU!!

Maybe you should stop calling me a loser if you can't even spell it correctly. Dummy stamp.

Many of us are working our way through school. If I am a loser because I have a job... then fine, but I will never be a looser. I can find a different job... but you will always be so stupid its not even funny.

Maybe it was the end of her shift? I really think there is no excuse to be unclean though. As I explained before like 10 times, it is supplemental income; the only reason I continue doing it is because I do make good money doing it... most of the time. Everyone is on here talking trash on eachother I saw the opportunity to educate a few people on why tipping is important. I was frustrated with the fact that twenty percent of people do not tip in this town.

Apparently spelling is also for "loosers".

loose = not tight (like your mother)

lose = the opposite of success (like your mother's botched abortion)

Let me start off by saying yes, I do tip delivery drivers and waitresses / waiters. In the past 25 years there has been two times that I did not leave a tip at a restaurant, but it was because the service was atrocious. I equate your tips to my annual bonus. It is income that you simply cannot count on. Sure you would like to have it, but it is unreliable and should not be calculated when determining buying power. You accepted the delivery position and I assume understood the pay structure. Knowing that tips should be paid if service is good but are entirely voluntary you took the job and now are not happy with your situation. Getting on Topix is not going to help you. Change your situation by either taking up pay issues with your employer or finding a different career. Did you really think that starting a thread on Topix would compel people to give you a tip?

I was mostly venting. Seems like it got people thinking though didn't it? I do not rely on tips, I do not rely on this job to pay ANY of my bills.

I do feel that common courtesy is an issue in this area. I do a good job, I am clean, my car is clean and pretty new. I am very polite and my average delivery time is anywhere from 21 to 45 minutes. I know where almost everything is as I have been doing this on and off for years. As I mentioned earlier, I do not expect to be tipped if my service is not what it should be. I do not expect ten dollars I am more than happy with a few bucks! I do know the value of a dollar... Remember I am the one with a job here. lol I am over this.

Of course I know itís not easy, but what in this life that is worthwhile is easy? I donít know Pizza Pusherís situation I am simply taking a snapshot of what has been posted and am giving my opinion. May he is working his way through college, I have no idea. Everyone has to pay their dues. I put myself through college right after high school. While I was in school I watched my friends who went from HS straight to the workforce earn money and buy vehicles, homes ect. I had nothing to my name but a 10 year old vehicle with 150k miles on it. 16 years later after getting a degree and busting my butt for years I am doing quite well. I have a good career and live comfortably. All I am saying is if you want/need something in this life you need to pursue it aggressively. No one is going to give you anything in this life. Look ahead to the future. Imagine yourself at 60 years old. Do you want to be sitting behind a desk or delivering pizzas? It is ENTIRELY up to you.
