If someone climbs in their own vehicle.... in the snow and brings you pizza; you need to tip that person. Most drivers do not even make minimum wage. It is unbelievable how many people order fifty dollars of food but can't spare three bucks for the driver? If it is too much for you to tip then you need to just come pick your food up! I don't owe you anything.

BTW if the service is poor I don't expect a tip so don't bother with that song and dance.

I never tip my pizza delivery person less than $5 & my orders are never over $25. I guess some people feel you owe them something. The way I see it, the delivery person done me a favor.

It costs a lot for these people to deliver your orders to you. You need to figure in the cost of fuel and insurance as well as depreciation of their vehicles. It's a shame that people cannot give them a generous tip. Mayby the restaurants should add a 20 or 25% surcharge onto the price of the food to ensure tips for the drivers.

The employee should never rely on their customers for their earnings, take that up with your employer or find a new job.

You should also be reported to your employer and lose your job for getting on here demanding tips from basterds.

it's their job to bring the pizza to my door. They should not get a tip for something that is their job. That would be like giving the doctor a tip for checking me out. Or giving the police officer a tip when he pulls me over, because he is just doing his job if he pulls me over.
So if I give yo a tip to bring my pizza to my door, should I give the cook who made the pizza a tip? Or the person a tip that answered the phone and took the order? Because they do have to use their own vehicle to go to work..

Let me explain something about the service industry most delivery drivers are considered tipped employees. That means YOU are expected to tip because they are providing you a service. Most delivery drivers make LESS than minimum wage which isn't enough to make me start my car nevermind bring it to your trailer. I have never spit in anyones food as I think that is nasty, but if I have several deliveries up and you don't tip you WILL get your food last.

Thats my point!!! I don't owe you anything and you don't owe me anything. UNLESS I do something for you like, I dunno... deliver you a pizza in my own car, in the middle of the night, on a Sunday. Does that make sense? BTW the delivery charge is not a tip to the driver, the store keeps most of it.
