Cabell Midland is always jealous when PSHS wins Marshall. End of story

Yet CMHS has been to how many NATIONAL college bowl games?? The Gator, Peach, Orange, Fiesta, and how many others? They're national contenders!

That's really good for them and that's a great achievement for them. Does not change the fact that the judges at the comp. saw something in the PSHS band that CMHS obvioulsy lacked. The half-time/competition shows that CMHS puts on are great, honestly. They are always very colorful with great eye candy. HOWEVER the marching techniques and difficulty are not present. The drills are easy compared to the ones PSHS does. Granted CMHS has gone to national bowl games, that does not mean they are the best. There are many factors that play into the decisions.

That's really nice. Yes everyone has a bad day but CMHS doesn't have to litterally shun PSHS anytime they win over Cabell at Marshall. They are just now attending the Southern Thunder Comp. CMHS thinks they are better than PSHS. They both have their strengths. Doesn't matter how many top titles they have.

You do realize that many schools are invited to play for those bowl games, NFL games and nationally televised parades. Princeton always is, it's a waste of money to drive to a game and perform in front of a crowd in which most people are at the concession stands or drunk...it's not prestige, if Cabell Midland wanted national prestige they would compete in BOA which would require more than their pre-packaged shows that are as far from original as marching band shows come.

Although not to deflect from Princeton's win,(congrats to the band and director!) but Midland has very rarely in the last 5 years+ used a "pre-packaged" show. In fact, in the early '00's, they were the only band in their class at many competitions not performing the exact same "pre-packaged" show. The music and concept are generally pieced together and often written by the director and co-director, though I can't speak for the current director, with a choreographer helping with marching formations.

You *might* wanna look into things before you start pointing fingers...this thread *IS* on the Princeton forum. Don't believe me? Just change your location to Princeton, WV and you'll find this thread. So, obviously no one in Princeton is trying to start anything, we are merely supporting our kids in their efforts.

Today's Full Moon will have a powerful impact on your health during the next few months. Maybe this is the spur you need to inspire you to take better care of yourself, such as improving your diet, getting more exercise or finally consulting the doctor about something that's worrying you. It will also be the end of a chapter connected with your work, but don't fret because this ending will lead on to a new beginning.
