man buys property...
man owns property...
man decides on how to use property...
man makes decision not supported by others...
Moral of the story...

Go on TOPIX and bash the $hit out of him because he spent his money but isnt doing it to suit others...

We actually stopped by there and asked the guys that were working what is going on. It is going to be a fishing pond. They will be charging $8 to fish , or $20 to fish in tournaments. They did not mention anything about a water park , so I am not sure on that matter. And yup... it is the same guy who owned the catfish pond in Speedway. Sort of an odd place to put a pond , but maybe it will do better being closer to town...? I personally do not ever enter tourneys...they cost to much to enter.
aCTUALLY, THERE HAS BEEN A POND THERE FOR OVER 60 YEARS---dOUGLAS USED TO DEMO BOATS THERE AND ALSO TEST MOTORS.

Well Einstein, its apparent you're either very young or not a native Princetonian! Stafford Drive came to existence in 1972, before that time it was named Lazenby Ave which ending at Trent St (Gates). From that point, a graveled road ended at the old Pctn water works (First Century Bank). Beyond that was a huge open field (Kroger) which was the old Pine diary (Pine Plaza). So to all the old timers & natives, DOWNTOWN is Mercer St!

<quoted text>then what is Stafford drive?
I think you're the one that needs to further his education.... here is the definition of "downtown" n
1. the central or lower part of a city, esp the main commercial area; to or in the main business section of a city.
adv
2. towards, to, or into this area
adj
3. of, relating to, or situated in the downtown area: downtown Manhattan
'down'towner
n
Now where is the MAIN COMMERCIAL district in Princeton? Mercer st? No, its Stafford drive.
Just face it you're wrong. It's a bad idea. He should drain the pond ( I don't care how its done, but I know it can be), fill it in, and sell it to someone who can to something worth while with it.

the city didn't close them down. They refused to or just couldn't afford to keep the buildings in a legal and safe state I repair.

Marlon Douglas is an arrogant drunkard who thinks he's much more important than he is. He thumbed his nose at the city and paid the price. If he hadn't drank up all the profits he could have afforded the renovations he needed to keep the business open.
