It is alot different because Freddie recruits boys to help complete his team....say what you would like but without the QB who lived in Bluefield VA and played at Beaver and QB now who lives in Princeton, the Beavers are just another team with some speed....with exception of 2004 the Beavers are a team that can't get it done unless they have boys come play for them outside of Bluefield.
Yea that's heard all the time too "Bluefield can't win without players from other schools" Blah Blah Blah. Levi Beckett came to play at Bluefield because its a family tradition (which anyone could know if people in Princeton knew how to read the paper). I guess the others just wanted to play on a winning team instead of playing for Ted "Couldn't win with NFL players" Spadaro coaching the team.

Oh thats right....the one you mention played at Princeton until High School, if it's such a family tradition he should have been in Bluefield all along......correct me if I'm wrong but how many NFL players have played at Princeton....Blah Blah Blah......one thing is for sure, Recruiting is better in the Bluefield area....I'm sure that the Blufield area appreciates it that they have to have young men from the surrounding areas contribute because they just can't get it done on their own. The truth is the truth....how many games did Bluefield win without the Princeton boy last year? WHo would have been the QB if Cole wasn't there? Congrats on your excellent recruiting throughout the years.

I guess not only can people in Princeton not read newspapers but sarcasm is lost on them too. I never said NFL players played at Princeton, I meant if Spadaro had a whole NFL team he would still lose to the high school teams around here. he sucks as a coach. He can have some of the best players in the state (and he has at times) and still lose.

What always gets me is people from Princeton always want to have a contest about Bluefield recruits this and Bluefield recruits that and Bluefield does this and Bluefield does that. Well lets look at the biggest difference. State Championships -- Bluefield = 10 Princeton = um let me see would that be 0, nada, zilch.

And go ahead come back at me with the Bluefield wouldnt do that in AAA so i can point out that 6 of those were AAA and they regularly beat Princeton who is AAA. Princeton people can keep trotting out the same arguments and the same thing will remain true. Princeton + Ted Spadaro = Losers. I can almost guarantee if Princeton were to get a new coach (maybe Peak) they could be a powerhouse in the state.

If any of the young men on the football team read this thread, please listen up. You guys need to clean up that mess behind the stadium where many of you park. The place looks like a pig pen. Regardless of whether or not the players threw out all that trash, it's in your yard. All that trash reflects badly on the town, the school, but mostly the football team, Cause everyone knows it your area. So make me and everyone else proud and clean up your yard.

I for one would like to see another coach at Princeton but the man has earned to do what he wants to do. You can say this or that about Bluefield I could care less.....seems to me that you like to bash Princeton as regularly as you like to pat yourself on the back as being a Bluefield fan....say what you will about another coach coming in and making Princeton a powerhouse team....I really wish that would be true but I don't see that happening year in and year out.....spare me the comments about Bluefield beating Princeton...over the past 12 years the landscape has completely changed....its been even if not in Princeton's favor over that time...overall is a different story of course but over the last decade its been much closer not bad considering your playing half of Mercer Co and Bluefield Va kids.....your time will come...dirty tatics go on behind the scenes and if you know anything about ethics you probably know what I mean...Congrats on your accomplishments.....and in regards to Graybeard's comments, its a shame that the students, players and people who park in that area behind the stadium has let the trash become such a problem....take some pride and clean up the mess

To much politics in Princeton for them to ever be a real contender! Instead of playing the best players at all times, the president of the boosters son has to get a couple of possesions... Princeton football is laughing joke

Bluefield just doesn't produce thugs they, as well produce d-1 athletes such as Charlie Tynes, Ansel Ponder, list goes on. They produce college graduates, such as Rusty Coleburn, Freddy Simon Sr. Jr and so on. They also produce succesful business men such as Pete Sarver. Princeton couldn't come close to comparing to Bluefield High in anything other than the band! Bluefield dosen't recruit either; players just get tired of Princeton politics and go else were, if anybody recruting half ass Princeton players its PikeView give me a break!

You need to go back to school and quit worrying about football. Have you never heard of punctuation, spelling, and grammar. Hell you even mispelled Princeton.

Joe you evidently know nothing since the boosters president is a lady that hasn't had a son there in the past 25yrs or so.....if you think Blufield doesn't recruit just ask the crop of Graham and Princeton middle school players that he invites over every spring and let them tell you for themselves.....shady acts....thats fine.....and to "tell the truth" you must have not been in the starting lineup since you probably dedicated your time as much as you practiced your spelling....Back to JoeBlows---you know nothing

1.) Yeah Princeton's losing problem is Spadaro. Try running a few new plays, something that will actually throw the other team off. Think they watch footage- yeah...too predictable. If my husband, who was captain of the FB team, class of '81 (NOT in Mercer Co.), can sit in the stands and accurately predict the play Ted will run next, it's time to change your play book.
2.) Don't brag about the few wins they had last year, once they actually got the challenging teams over with in September (which they lost, BTW). Their opponents were actually worse than PSHS was, unbelievably.
3.) MOST of the line merely stands up and does a little "powder puff" shove on the opposing line. THAT'S not gonna work, as evidenced by their less than stellar season stats. Block somebody???
4.) Personally, Tanner doesn't impress me, on OR off the field. My family and I walked into Outback a few weeks ago and my son, who has gone to school with him since 5th grade, spoke to him. He got a funny look on his face and turned his head, totally snubbing my son, who does not run in the popular crowd with Tanner. Too bad, cause Tanner's the one who MISSED OUT on that deal. I hope he earns a diploma and some character in college. I wish him success in life.

hey class of 89 grad.. before you start crying about predicting coachs plays get your shit straight. he doesnt even call the plays. and dont talk about tanner cause he is a committed player and if he has the ability to earn a scholarship to college and graduate with honors then the entire town of princeton should be proud of him. he was probably joking with your son so quit complaining and keep your personal problems off this. we are here for football, not therapy. and a few wins?? 6 in a row and a playoff birth. move to bluefield and cheer for their team cause i dont want somebody as negative as you watching me play.

Doesn't really matter who calls the plays, the head coach is responsible in the end for everything that on his sidelines. If things aren't working the head coach needs to discuss changes with the assistant calling the plays or change who's calling the plays.
