[Football Fan]

Is there something wrong with Princeton's football coach, over the years I have heard story after story about how the young men refuse to play for him. Why?

have you heard of their record for the past few years...well thats probably why. But I dont think it is the same coach this year. Seems like he only had 3 players on the team and expected them to get the job done.

Maybe kids these days don't want to put in the time and effort and expect it to be easy. That's what's wrong with Princeton's basketball program too.

PRACTICE IS VERY LAX, NO CONTROL, SOME KIDS DONT PRACTICE AND THEY PLAY AND REAP THE BENEFITS OF OTHER KIDS' WORK ETHICS.. THEY DONT HIT IN PRACTICE SO WHEN IT HAPPENS IN A GAME THEY ARE SHELL SHOCKED. GO WATCH A PRACTICE YOU CANT EVEN HEAR A PAD CRACK ITS SORRY.. KICK A COUPLE OF THE LAZY BOYS TO THE CURB I'D RATHER PLAY WITH 10 THAT HAD HEART THAN 20 THAT HAD EXTREAM TALENT. SEE WHERE THEY ARE IN 10 YEARS..

Its a shame Randy Peek, middle school coach, couldnt take over. He has wonderful discipline and the boys and parents respect him. He tells the parents in the very first meeting he doesn't care who they are, how much money they make, etc. he will be making the decision who plays based on talent--and thats the way it should be. And if the boy is late or misses practice, he runs laps no matter if dad or mom is doctor, lawyer, or indian chief. I respect that.

I agree with the previous post. There is something wrong with the picture when the middle school teams soundly beat the Bluefield team year in and year out, but they are only able to beat the same kids about twenty five percent of the time in high school. Some of the other schools I can understand them being outmatched against since the Kanawha valley schools are much larger, but it doesn't explain why they collapse against Bluefield after routing them in middle school.

My son played on the middle school team last year. There was this boy--name is "Taj" I think last name is Johnson--who is an absolute joy to watch. Talk about talent!! He reminded me of Pat White. I heard he was thinking about not playing this year and I hope that is not true. If he is playing, you should go watch a middle school game to see this young, great talent.

So, I really liked Vick's press conference today. He got my heart when he said he had to tell his kids. I hope he does great with the Eagles and keeps good people around him.

Yeah, my son got to know him last year when they played together. He seems to be real humble--just an all-around good kid. I happened to over-hear two coaches commenting,"the other team KNOWS what he is going to do, and they still can't catch him!" If you enjoy football and he is playing this year, you won't be disappointed if you go to a game.

It is amazing those boys can play for the Raiders and the Jr. High as champions and then look what happens in High School.

He just needs to realize there are more than 2or3 players on a team and a select few cannot get the job done on their own, it takes team effort, let them all play.

The true definition of "insanity" is doing things the same way over and over and expecting different results. Princeton football coach and basketball coaches are purely insane idiots!

At least Princeton has the best marching band in southern wv., maybe the entire state.

I agree. They are a great band and should be commended for their dedication and hard work.

I play for Princeton High School.
and I can tell you this..
we are not championship calliber.its just not that way there..
my dream is to one day play college football somewhere but my dreams sadly wont come true there...
as for the team...same ole same ole let me tell ya..
i came from Glenwood and we are sooooo totallllyy overlooked..its like were not even there..
Expect nothin this yr!
