i would be mad as well but dont call the board you are waisting your time. go right to the person who shut the door in your face and directly address the issue with them.you have a right to be treated with respect just as they do. remember our children and we as parents have more rights than the school system. stand up for your child, for yourself and for whats right. been there. one on one is always the best.

I am so glad my children no longer go there. I can remember having some of the same problems. We have a handicapped sticker due to our child being disabled and was dropping him off one morning when the security guard came up and told us we could not park there. My husband kept on walking and the guy literally grabbed him by the arm. Needless to say my husband was not happy. After talking with the principle the issue was resolved for the time being. I would suggest going to the principle first. If all else fails I can tell you that you want get no relief from the school board here. If you choose that route call Charleston to the main board and something will be done. Been there and done that.

I was next in line when they did that and thank the Lord I did walk mine in the building because they even made one kid walk all the way around the building (because his mom pulled off already) it was 24 degrees this morning. That's just WRONG!

you are so correct. we have to remember that people in these schools will only treat us in the ways we allow them too. the schools, teachers, board officals give students and parents a list of dos and donts to follow but what about them. i held my sons teachers and principal feet to the fire years ago for their behavior in his school. i didnt back down and in the end the winner was not me but my son. he got a better education and has gone onto college. i made sure they knew i was watching. sometimes reminding them to do the right thing is all it takes. yes, contact charleston if this continues. im like you, been there. you made a positive suggestion about charleston.

The principal just sent a message over the phone to address the time of tardy bells...way to late! She is only proving her guilt! Obviously there are problems at her school in the mornings and she made them worse today! She needs to fix things and stop leaving our kids in the cold, literally!

It truly saddens me that some individuals in the public paint ALL educational professionals with the same brush. I agree that (as in ALL professions) there are people in our field who should not be here. I also doubt that, year after year for 13 long years, your son repeatedly had horrific, self-centered teachers who possessed zero desire to see that every child in their class (including your son) received the very best education possible. I applaud you for standing up for what you knew or believed your child's rights to be. I hope you gave him everything at home that he needed as well, since it takes BOTH home and school to make a successful student into a successful adult. Congratulations on seeing him through to college! As a sincere, caring educational professional, I wish ALL students the same success in school and life.

there is a major problem at that school and it has everything to do with the traffic. Something seriously needs to be resolved there and maybe kids wouldn't be tardy so much.

There are rules at Princeton Primary like there is at every other school in the county...simply to protect your child...that's why doors are locked after the TARDY BELL RINGS. Thats when you must bring your child to the front of the school where the doors are unlocked. Most parents would wait to see that thier child is in the door before they pull off...so the child will not be left outside in the cold...If you are on time bringing your child too school it would alleviate all of these problems!!!

There is a major problem at this school. The Merger Co. Board of Ed. needs to look at putting a parent parking lot off to the side for you guys to park while you wait for your children. The parent loop has to remain clear for Fire Dept access. I know this has been issue in the past and will remain an issue as long as it is blocked. The solution to this problem is simply provide parents with a place to park.

This makes me mad...this was about Princeton Primary School locking kids out! As far as the one child having to walk around the building...the rule is you let your child out of the car and go! There is suppose to be a teacher out there to watch your child go in the school safely. If you sit and wait for you child to walk in the school and then go then you are part of the PROBLEM!!! The traffic is a serious issue that needs to be fixed. The parent loop is terrible. The parents DO NOT do as they were told at the beginning of the year and if they did it would run a whole lot smoother.

There is an adult that is in the parent loop to watch your child go in the school safely..if you are on time! If you are having to sit and watch your child get in the door, they are obviously tardy!!! Traffic is a real problem at the school but is that a reason to place every adult that works in that building responsible and do they deserve the disrespect of thier names being slandered on this ridiculous forum?? No, dont believe so!

by reading the comments on here the issue seems to be the parking situtation or drop off whatever. if the school cannot handle the problem by working with the parents then the parents that are so concerned need to contact some other folks to solve the problem. i dont see any slander here just some upset parents whose kids have to be out in very very cold weather. these kids are not to blame, its some of the parents, the school and an ongoing parking problem. and yes EVERY adult that works in the building is responsible for the safety and well being of oue kids then they are at school.

there are many very caring over educated teachers in our school system that helped my child along the way. but if i had not backed some of thoseeducated professionals in the corner and said NO to their behaviors his education would have been very poor. if these educated professionals are the least bit concerned about these little kids then come together work with the school to find a solution. and yes, it takes school and home to produce a smooth ride for a child in any school system. but it seems from experience thAT WHEN A PARENT gets involved and stands up and raises a little noise in this school system, all we get are excuses and griping.

Apparently everyone here just wants to argue about who is responsible for what! That wasnt the point ...The point is no door was slammed in any kids face...I am almost sure of that..Yes, the doors are locked after the tardy bell rings and there is an adult in the parent loop until the tardy bell rings. And yes every adult in that building is responsible for every child but they cant hardly be two places at one time...The most mature and responsible thing to do is talk to someone about the parent loop and parking issue at the school...not get on here and cause a bunch of trouble that isnt going to help the situation at all

my child does not even go to this school but i have read this forum and clearly see that there is a problem. unless you were there how can you be sure no door was slammed. noone is causing trouble just opinions being expressed including yours. if you work there or have a connection to this school jump on it and start finding a solution. thats all i see here and some angry parents agreeing that there is a problem.
