I don't see how two hours in a building that is a church on Sunday is going to have any affect on an atheist. Aren't they comfortable in their nonbelief? Aren't they firm in their nonbelief? Sheesh....Our President listened to Rev. Jeremiah Wright's "black liberation theology" for 20 *years* and it didn't affect the Prez!
What is with you people and assuming that if people aren't Christian that they must be Atheists? That's a really uninformed assumption considering all of the religions that exist. Not to mention all of the different Christian denominations, and those who just generally disapprove of the Princeton Church of God for whatever reason.

And why, oh why, must Obama be brought into every single discussion? Every time anything controversial is brought up, someone inevitably finds a way to inject him into it somehow and derail the subject.

Still- the Lynne White fan club have not offered a solution to the problem. Where else can they hold graduation that is convenient, comfortable, accessable and FREE? You want to b* tch about it, but you don't want to offer ideas for a solution.

Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

Instead of suggesting that Lynn donate money to build a larger auditorium, "Really" should be asking why didn't the School Board put a larger auditorium in the plans they approved for building Pike View?

Also, she didn't bring this question up, the school board was debating this matter in response to a possible lawsuit. If this lawsuit happens, I hope the Board has enough money in its rainy day account to pay the settlement. Perhaps they can do away with the car Dr. Akers drives, which is paid for with school board money (please call the Board Office and ask how much Mercer County taxpayers pay for a car that most people will never own or ride in. This cost is more money that many people will earn in a month.).

Lynn's courage in standing up to the Board will be missed as the person running for this seat will not make any waves.

I feel nothing but sorry for you. I hope that you find SOMETHING to fix that nasty attitude of yours. If it's not God, then something, no ANYTHING else. No one should be this nasty and miserable.

LMAO! Your misreading of it made it seem ironic. You either can't understand what you read, or you are willfully trying to misinterpret his meaning... Now please try to pay attention and read things in their proper context. And after you've managed that, try to keep the context in mind when you decide to comment on something... Hang in there, you'll learn how to read before you know it!

Actually, this problem already HAS gon through legal channels and the BOE won. They are within their legal rights to hold the graduation at the church. Lynne White is just doing what she does best, making a mountain out of a mole hill & beating a dead horse into the ground.

Will she and Prince Tommy hold so tightly to their convictions and REFUSE to attend graduation? I will bet my money they will be there. If I felt SO strongly against something, I wouldn't attend under ANY circumstances. Time will tell... they will be there.

you reall don't understand what seperation of church and state is do you? no, i am not offended when i drive on 460 and see the cross. the cross is on church property. when i am on 460, i am on state property. if you put the cross on 460, again which is state property, then i would be offended. i hope you can understand this. i don't think it can be explained any simpler.

People like you make me sick. I hope we continue to offend you until your death. Have fun explaining it then.

My bad! I made an assumption that "Americans United...." and the "Freedom from Religion" folks were mostly atheists. "Americans United...." seems to have both religious and areligious folks in it. But I believe that it is unlikely that a large portion of the "Freedom from Religion" people are Baptist, Muslim, or Hindu. ;-)

Pres. Obama is brought into the conversation because everyone (pretty much) knows who he is. So an analogy involving him is perhaps more understandable than one involving, say, "Jacob Robertson from Pocatello, Idaho".

You are rambling on and on, and it is complete and total nonsense. You have not made not ONE single valid point, despite your wordy posts full of babble.
Oh, and fyi, you don't sound intelligent, though I know how hard you must be trying. You seem extremely obnoxious. You know, one of those fools that go on and on just because they LOVE the sound of their own voice. lol Yeah, that's ALL you. ;)

I'm just speculating, but I would imagine one issue is cost.
The second might be that the stage is too small to seat all the graduates. Seating them in the auditorium would then not allow enough seating for family.
