Both of my daughters just started bow hunting. I myself don't, so I am not sure about their bows. But, I know if several women in the area that bow hunt. They are around. Try asking at the gun and supply stores. They may be able to give you some info. Good Luck!

I'm starting to hunt and would like to know what kind of bow you have and what specs it has. I am a lady bow hunter and I use a Parker Buckshot. It's lightweight and the draw weight is not bad at all. The draw weight was able to go to 31 inches...good luck!

Try going to B&G - It's where I got my bow and they will usually work with you on the price and you can do lay away.:)

Women should get a bow size of a child would use. Remember you are going to be hand carrying this thing in brush. Doesn't on the size, doesnt mean it has less of a impact on anything that a large size bow would do. What matters is the poundage you can pull back. More pounds the bigger impact it will have on the target. You do not need to pay a arm and a leg for a bow. Normally once you take it up one finds out its not as fun nor easy as the other options to hunt with. Btw, this is a very expensive sport! If you bend, brake, or lose an arrow you lost a minimum of $15.00 per arrow. You will need cat whiskers, flourscent sites I advise 4 of them. Get about a dozen arrows, get good broad heads. Now the bigger the broad head is, goes by numbers means the heavier your arrow will be and the more likely those long shots will fall short. Pick a broad to your liking, everyone else will say they prefer whatever. Doesn't matter you are using this not them. Investing in a range finder is a very good idea. Easy to over guess and matters a great deal in this sport. Pick a bow with 80% let off, less let off it has the more you are holding back and you will become tired before you release. Get a release trigger. You may need a stabilizer, if the person who is helping you knows anything they can tell if you need one or not. Wax for your string. Every year you will have to make sure your sting hasn't became lose or weak. Peep site this will be your scope basically.

Just remember the bigger the bow is and the heavier it is means harder on you. They don't make slings for bows that I know of so you will hand carry this out along with your game. And when bow hunting you must wait for your victim to die because its not a fast kill. So waiting an hour before tracking is a good idea. If you shot it at dusk wait till morning if it will get cold that night not fun looking for blood in the dark with a flashlight.
