It's not just the prostitutes on Mercer St. It's the drug addicts that stand with them and their needles laying all over the streets that you kids risk getting stabbed by and catching something... It's the only place I've ever been in my life where you can ride down the road and literally watch people shoot shit in their arms and smoke crack right out in the open... The whores are the least of the problems there!!!

....and thats where the library is going to be. Now just think of the education your children will receive when it opens up. Not tomention that it is on a corner of a very dangerous intersection that our children will be trying to cross. WTG City of Princeton!!! UNREAL....nuff said

Once I seen one get into a mans car on Easter day. It made me sick. They look alright when they first come on the scene then they start using drugs and go way downhill. I dont know why men would pay for a toothless woman to give them sex. Just thinking about them doing stuff to a man with their mouth makes me wanna throw up in my mouth. I called the police one time too when I seen a car that a hoe and her pimp would hang around and get stuff out of and the next day the police was parked right there. I dont think the criminals are that dumb to do it right in front of the cops. That made me realize that the police might actually be in with them since that is no type of sting at all.

I have wondered that for some time now myself. I can't help but to believe that the police are in league with the drug dealers and prostitutes. I mean really… with no bigger than the town is, and the size of our police force there is no excuse for what goes on. There are known (and reported) drug houses and known prostitutes that are allowed to continue to function. Why is this? If the polices excuse is that they arrest the criminals and the courts let them out well, that doesn’t hold water with me either. Keep arresting them. If you arrest them and they are back on the street the next day, arrest them again. I do not understand why Princeton as a community has tolerated these problems as long as they have. Does anyone have any idea who can be contacted when a police force has been neutralized or is inactive? How far up the chain do we need to go to get something done around here?

I do have curtians but when you live in the country on 10 acres and you live at the end of the road and hear a car coming the kids run to the only window that you can see the road out of to see who is coming. This is private property and I can't even get the police to come when I call. When I come home and have to drive by a parked car the kids can't help but see when some guy has his pants down and some girl with her head in his lap or on his lap. I guess I could blindfold the kids. Oh yea, and then as a bonus I get to clean up beer botles, condoms, ect. on my property or would you like to do it for me?
I live in the country too and they were parking at the top of my road out of site doing their do. Like you said condoms everywhere, how nice of them to leave presents right? Unfortunately I never caught them, but my neighbor did. All I know is what he told me. At gun point people are more than happy to vacate your premises. The Mercer street walkers haven’t returned since. They are on your property pal, grow a set and protect your family before they get drugged up one day while you are at work and rob your place or worse.

If you can purchase giant motion activated flood lights. It doesnt hurt to scream out the window that the police have been called. If you can take pictures or write down plate numbers...
Police might be able to get them for littering after the fact.

So if they arrest a hooker one day, do you think she's going to be dumb enough to get in the car with an undercover officer the next? And if not who do you think will confess to the police the john or the hooker. It has to be one way or the other to make an arrest that's the law. The only thing the police can do is sit there and make it incovenient. On the drug houses, should police knock down the door, rush in with guns drawn and make an arrest because of accusations, if that were the case your neighbor could call the police, say you were dealing drugs, they would come and knock your door down, guns drawn, on your children. Are you a drug dealer or operating a drug house. Probably not, but anyone can say you are, that's why laws don't allow police to make an arrest based on accusations.
just wondering

I can see your point. It is just frustrating to see this fine town turning into a slum. The house I was referring to in my earlier post has been a drug house for over a year now. My Grandfather lived on that street, so I know most people that live there. Most of these people have been there for many many years. I visit a few of them occasionally and hear all of the stories. Almost everyone on that street has called the police dept. multiple times yet the police have done nothing… nothing in a year, come on. There are vehicles in and out all hours of the day and night, people doped up walking up and down the street and alley, passing out in people’s yards… it is pathetic. Some of my closest friends over there are elderly and don’t deserve to live like that. While it is good that the police can’t run amuck and arrest people Willie nilly, it would be nice if they would at least walk up and knock on the door of this known drug house, who knows maybe during checking out a complaint they may get probable cause to search the house.
My Mother and Father are from Princeton, but Dad was in the Marines so we moved around a lot when I was growing up. I always wanted to move back here and did after finishing college. Now I have two small children and WAS excited about them growing up in Princeton, but with all of the crime around town I worry about my boys.

Yes and the City of Princeton Police will knock on the door (and hopefully get probable cause to search) with each complaint, but you have to get the people in the neighborhood to call 911 when it's happening for an officer to be dispatched and usually people say they don't want to get involved, but you could try to convince the people of the neighborhood to call by telling them it's their civic duty. It might help.

If people in my neighborhood acted like that then I would not associate with them or do them favors when they need it. They could be putting everyone in danger if a drug bust/prostitution thing goes bad.

Prostitution is legal in Germany. The ho's even carry health cards. If you mess with the stuff up on mercer st, you're liable to get something Ajax won't take off.

Well there Billy Graham, this isn't Deutschland now is it? Ho's?, what a nice Christian thing to say...typical. Tell you what Mr. John The Baptist, why don't you go use your biblical scripture up on Mercer St, instead of wasting your breath here? Who knows, maybe you can save you some souls in the name of Jesus. Pfft.
