not sure, but I would assume the profit margin is small on gasoline & judging the drastic measures they're taking, people consistently pump & run. So it's probably more cost effective to guarantee payment for fuel & lose customers rather than risk the thieves

Have no problem with pre-paying, but standing around & waiting for someone to pump the gas. Won't be stoping there!

C'mon, I don't know if I believe they are pumping the gas. Honestly, I would prefer that, it used to be called full service. Has that actually happened to someone?

Hell, in NJ it's against the law to pump your own gas. How silly is that?

I used to work at a gas station and you guys wouldn't believe the number of drive offs, or as I call them "nickel runners," you have in a day. Customers would pre-pay and sometimes the pumps would jump sending their total cost of gas 5 cents over what they paid for. Believe it or not but sometimes I would have to put in a couple dollars here and there so the gas wouldn't be short and I wouldn't get in trouble. I don't see a problem in what this gas station in trying to do. You guys just have to remember that patience in a virtue and it takes one bad person to ruin it for the rest of the class.

If an employee is pumping the gas then I am assuming there is another employee in the store. I don't think they would go outside and leave the drawer. So they would have to have at least 2 employees working at all times to do this. But the pre pay thing is going on everywhere. That's nothing new. I also used to work in a gas station. There are always lots of drive offs. If you do not like to have to go into the store to prepay then use your debit or credit card at the pump...it's a little faster.

711 is bp now. 711 went under because of employee theft. An employee told me it didn't matter of they had drive offs or not that nobody cared.thats why there is a whole new crew there now.

If its under new management someone in the higher up needs to give that redhead amazon queen an attitude adjustment...she's ruining business! And these so-called new rules/laws doesn't seem to apply to the Stafford Dr store. If drive offs are creating problems its time to return to full service. Please, for god's sake stop carding old wrinkled gray haired people who's buying cigarettes.
