Well first off I am a family member of Melanie Lambert, And I know she would never abuse her children. Or do anything that has been alleged on here!! This is just a sad case of the daddy wanting the baby and using these thing's against her so he can try to get custody. It's simple as that. Nothing more nothing less. People always make a big deal out of nothing, When nothing happened!! I myself believe that these investigators should dig deeper before arresting someone and having them on the news! I guess MONEY can buy alot of things! Even a new's crew!

Lance Crotty, And the 2nd person arrested was Eric Nester which is her boyfriend.

Whom she is pregnant by now. And Lance is jealous and wanted her back and she wouldn't go back with him so he pulled these tricks out of the bag.

I've heard if people pulling that before. Hopefully the truth will come out soon. I hate to hear about things of this nature and it seems to be happening so much more often.

There is always going to be someone who comes forward to defend people in situations like this. The truth of the matter is that there has to be something besides someones word to arrest somebody for child abuse. If just saying "hey John Doe is abusing is child" was grounds for arrest than people with grudges would get people arrested all the time for no reason.

They went off a bruise from him falling in the bath tub and hitting the faucet, Which happens alot! My daughter hit her's on the faucet and it did the same thing. So it's a bunch of bull crap. I am sick and tired of these men getting away with this, Lance also takes the 4 year old around all his girl friends, And he has like 3-4 women he see's. He just wanted to get back with the other party a couple week's ago,(If she were abusive would he want to come back and be with her?) It's because he is mad and wants her back and his son with him at all times, so he decided to pull a big note, His parents have money so money is no option!!
The real issue

The real issue is not to defend or strike the parents or families it is about the kid.. I don't know either of these families personally but if there is even a chance that abuse MIGHT be going on wouldn't you want it check out? and for the child to be safe? is that not most important? You're seriously defending people that obviously have something going on ... they have been investigated or arrests would not have been made.. Police can't just go off of what people say to make an arrest.. they have to have something tangable...The police can't hold you unless there is reasonable evidence.. They would have to have reasons to keep someone in custody other than hear say..

If they are arrested then I say good for the police and for the child.. and as far as family buying off the courts or the comments on money.. seriously? this is West Virgina 2010 for crying out loud..

Okay I can defend who I want to defend the last time I checked I was Melanie's SISTER. And I know she would never abuse her son!!!! Also they went off of a bruise on his bottom where he fell in the bath tub for crying out loud!!!!! This is just a ridiculous case! The child would be way better off with his Mother and his misses his mother! Yes it is West Virginia 2010 and yes there are people in West Virginia who do have money and his parents are 2 people who do. I am looking for a probono lawyer that will take her case and if there is one reading this right now, Please don't hesitate to contact me about this matter. Look into your heart and see that she is innocent and would never do anything to harm her son or any children for that matter. She love's her children, I lived with her with her children before and I know that they are well taken care of, Never HARMED, and were always clean, fed, and LOVED. If that is a crime then what has this world come to! I can get A LOT of people to state that she isn't abusive to her children. Anyone who knows her knows she's a fantastic mother!! If you have any questions or comments please e-mail me at pricesr06@natlcollege.edu also if there are any lawyers who want to do probono work on this case please e-mail me ASAP. PLEASE JUST LOOK INTO YOUR HEARTS!!! Since when was it a crime to LOVE YOUR CHILDREN!!

The last time I was looking at bubble bath for my grandbaby yesterday they had Faucet covers. Not alot of money either. As an adult you know that there is a risk for a baby or child to get hurt in a bath tub so if for no other reason than keeping them safe why wouldn't one buy a faucet cover. For crying out loud. Not saying nothing about a mother that loves her son. To be bruised on the bottom too. come on. Why wasn't the mother close enough to keep him falling so hard. When I bathe my grandbaby I'm sitting in the floor right beside the tub to make sure my grandbaby doesn't get hurt.It is alot to wonder about. Just like some of the other post said, she was investegated & the police cannot go on hear say. Hope she can take some parenting classes when this is all over, especially with another baby on the way.

Yeah we all think what we could of done or should of done but what do you do when something of this nature happens to you? You can't go back and change things. I am so sick and tired of the negativity so I will stop writing on this board. If anyone has anything positive to say then write to me in e-mail. Other than that, Only god can judge her. You guys need to stop judging the issue when none of you were there and you don't know what happened. I don't have a cover to buy my son on my faucets? So does that mean that I will have him taken away? So again positive comments would help and the negativity can stop. There is no such thing as a perfect parent and if you think your a perfect parent or grand parent then you need to look again!!! God will judge everyone and I know he will help prove her innocence no matter what the rest of you or anybody else thinks. And when its proved I bet you all will not have a THING to say!!!

I am not a fan of child abuse adn wil not up hold it in any way at all but come on lady faucet covers...your a grandmother maybe with nothing else to do but to find out about all these contraptions and have the money to blow on them..most typical middle class minimum wage working parents live payday to payday and are lucky to keep their cabinets full of food and pay the high rent and utility bills they have so i seriously doubt they are gonna buy faucet covers..how common is that? i mean who says hey do u have the faucet covers?? or whos ays..would u please buy me faucet covers for my baby shower? come on lady get real....and another thing..i have a 2 yr old and he is a boy i do not follow him from room to room and nor do i stay on his heels so yes he has fell down and run into things and hurt himself at times i think thats why the word accident was created...be realistic!!! join the real world

I am sorry for your situation and I do not know your sister nor the young man that was arrested with her altho I have heard of him..Anyhow I have two children that are my world and i can not even begin to explain the love I have for them so I am not for child abuse at all but I also do know that if a father reports a case to CPS then there is an investigation and from there I am not sure the proper procedures that are taken but if she has other children...are they still in her custody or did they take them too? If she is innocent I wish you luck and hope that you find help but if she isnt innocent then I hope she receives the proper punishment cause children are innocent and do not ask to be brought into this world and deserve nothing more than TLC..I am not gonna judge ur sister cause I am not God and last time I checked I really doubt he writes in these forums so no one can judge...IF she is innocent then I am sure the truth will come out and I would make sure it was announced on the news if she is acquited of all charges just as it was when she was charged..they dont care to put the bad stuff on the news but if she is innocent we will never hear about it...good luck keep us posted

SoUntrue in one post the bruise was from hitting the faucet in another it was on the bottom. How does a child get a bruise on their bottom from falling and hitting the faucet? Good for you for defending family but atleast get your story straight when you do.

I have seen a lot of injury's on children, and you can tell if its an accident usually... I have grandchildren and I see cuts, scrapes a lot, but not from abuse, I have seen bumps on the head from children jumping on beds, children can get very rough at times and injure themselves,, then the parents get into trouble for doing nothing, and you cannot protect children all the time,, bumps, bruises, cuts etc. are a part of growing up. I know because I have been there.

I guess CPS has gone to an extreme arresting everyone because there is so much going on now with abuse and murder cases. I know with my child she gets random scratches and bruises from just about anything. Like curious said it's a part of growing up. I guess they think we should keep our kids in bubbles now.

My children are grown now. When they were little, they got hurt several times on the tub faucet. I didn't know they made covers for them. I will buy one for my grandchildren. Dr Safder was their dr until they were 18, she will call you in to CPS if she finds a bruise on your child. I know that is a good thing, but, kids to get bruises from playing to. She accused me of abuseing my son! She took him in her office and ask him questions. He was four. When I got home i called her back and told her off. I hope the truth will come out for the sake of the mother. It would be so tragic if she is innocent and would lose her children over a horrible lie. Thank you for telling about the covers, they are a very good idea.

The baby had dark purple and black bruises from his back to his knees. SoUntrue says the baby fell on the faucet. The report says the mother said the baby fell on his bottom in the bath tub. How many stories you guys gonna tell? The mother wasnt charged with child abuse the paper says child neglect which are two different things. Looks to me like she let the guy beat her kid. No way a baby can fall on a faucet or slip once in the bathtub to get that kind of injury. They even said the baby was looked at by a Doctor who reported the whole thing to the cops. The cops can use this site to get more information on what happened especially if the mother told them one thing and sister SoUntrue posting other lies. Shows they are covering up something. I feel sorry for the kids.

Yeah you wouldn't know your fact's considering I am family I know what I am talking about. So I am recanting some of the previous fact's I had stated on the case. As I spoke with my sister the other day about everything to make sure I knew I had them straight. The fall happened in the bath tub and he didn't just fall and hit his bottom. He fell and hit his bottom on his Toy Pirate Ship. Eric wasn't in the house when the event took place. So therefore how could he have whipped the child? The father is out to get custody of his son. So he decided to stroll him to the ER to get photo proof taken of the fall. The bruises where not from his back to his knee's so know the story before you start posting IGNORANT THINGS THAT ARE UNTRUE!!! The bruise was on his bottom and it was a little red from the fall that is it. If you think you are stating FACTS let's see your'e evidence to state your facts, Other than that you should keep your mouth and hands from typing the stupidity that you are typing. I cleared up this story really quickly and if anyone has any other questions please let me know. I am looking for a photo to post of the exact make and model of the toy pirate ship that he did fall on. Would love to go back to the beginning of this story to post what really happened. But I just thought that is what happened. No I wasn't lying I just hadn't talked to my sister about every little detail. Now that you all know this is the true story. Let me know your input. My sister is INNOCENT! And I will do what I have to do to prove she is INNOCENT!!!! I believe alot of these posts are coming from the other parties family and friends. Lance is very convincing and can look you straight in the eye and tell you a LIE and you would never know the difference. He once told me when they were first together that he had been married before and had a child and I believed it for Months until he really told me the truth and he sit back and laughed about it. My sister is ready and willing to take a LIE DETECTOR TEST!!! Do you think he would be ready and willing? I HIGHLY DOUBT IT!!! He and his family has used Slander against her and totally humiliated her! From his back to his knee's, Omg you guys have hit the lowest of all low's. I knew there would be some idiots to come out of the neck of the woods and post something WAY OUTTA HAND like that. She wouldn't even let Lance whip her children more less another man!!!!!
