Morning chaos on roads near Leominster High School - Sentinel &...

Full story: Sentinel & Enterprise

I read with interest the mayor's plan to crack down on jaywalkers. I would like our mayor to consider the possibility of adding the crosswalks in front of Leominster High School to his list of priority areas.

That area has a mixture for disaster. Teenage drivers, female teenage drivers, asian drivers and female asian drivers all thrown into one blender. Put a senior citizens center there and you'd have a national convention for terrible driving.
Until next time, America.

If the mayor were serious he would ensure cars prked on side walks and crosswalks in the high school vicinity were towed or ticketed. The city will not paint crosswalks on busy corners on Merriam ave. The corner of West and hall is a scofflaw heaven, Even the police cars park on the side walk causing pedestrians to walk in the road. The city councilor for the neighborhood could care lees about safety as long as the diner and his bookie barber make money. Good job Rick have another doughnut!

Jesus you people complain too much.... if you don't like it don't go that way or get out of bed earlier. as for the "suv too big to handle" who are you to judge what they want to drive.

What's next? Do you want to complain that there is not enough domestic cars in the parking lot?

complain too much. Apparently you don't know of Brandon Martinez, age 15, who was struck and killed by a Leominster high school student, age 17 driving a SUV. Brandon was walking on the sidewalk heading home from school minding his own business when he was struck. Someone really needs to step to the plate and keep our children safe. Why can't teachers take turns being outside just before and right school gets out. It is done at all the other schools. And, c'com asking to have the sidewalks and parking spaces painted. Is that really asking to much? I certainly don't think so. Make annoucements in the school reminding student to use the sidewalks and drive safely. Clearly mark one ways, no u turns, speed limits. The kids are not only students at LHS they are also student drivers that need to be taught.

This doesn't only happen at the high school but right in the middle of town. What about the drivers that go straight and it is clearly marked on the road right turn only or the people that refuse to walk at the crosswalk for fear it will take them an extra minute to walk to it.When I stop to let a person cross the street I am in fear (say my prayers)that the driver behind me will hit me.Some even try to pass. What has happenned to concideration to others.

We should take a page from Westminster, i know that years ago they only let their seniors drive to school,it would really cut down on all this bull going on.

**** YOU MAN
Just because you have a thick skull and think that you're the best thing to hit the planet doesn't mean you have ANY right to bash people's driving that you certainly do not know. Not all teenage drivers, females and asians have trouble driving. HOW many MEN cause accidents?

YOU ARE A RUDE *******

But you see, things like that are not really funny, that girl Rebbecca was it? That struck and killed Brandon, she had only had her licenses for under 6 months and had failed it 5 times previously.
They need to make a law if you fail three times in a certain period of months say three, then you have to wait another 4-6 months and maybe re-take some classes. We need to stop putting inexperienced drivers on the road left and right.

Daily Horoscope for November 28

Sagittarius

You may want to do things on the spur of the moment, but pay attention to detail if you want to avoid unexpected expenses. Even a last-minute decision to go for a bike ride could end up with an injury or a flat tire, so try to think your actions out carefully. Once unpredictable Uranus settles down, you can enjoy a more relaxed attitude towards life. This evening you can let your hair down.
