People have to drive all the way to Reidland to play bingo. They could do bingo one or two night a week. Do raffles of some kind of prise that has a big enough prize on it that it would be worthwhile for purchasing a ticket. Don the once a month just like your weekly drawings. Charge membership for no vet menbers.Hold a live band and dance upstairs once a month or on weekends llike they youst to do. Have a banquet feast once a month and charge like $10 or $12 per plate as donations. Host a competition dart game every weekend with a pot on it for the winners. There is lots of other way too.
Good God JK! This isn't 19freaking55 anymore! Dances, bingo, raffles? No one does that $hit anymore. Stop being stupid.

The counties amd or towns surrounding us have gone wet. You dont hear about dui's every night or public drunkenness in the streets. Crime is not up there. However economy is. Even if its just by a little bit. So either Caldwell and Princeton keep up or get left behind. Cadiz has business and industry. They also have 68/80 amd i24. Soon princton will be a small dry town with nothing. Which some want it that way. Even the mayor is against growth. This town has been wet for years if you belong to one of the many clubs. Yet only time churches seem to have something to say is when it comes up for a vote to actually make it legal where the town can profit from it not just these clubs. Stop being hypocrites and Sunday morning christians. Most of the church people complaining are at one of these clubs friday or Saturday nights.

Wow, congratulations on not saying the same thing that's been posted by every other booze hound in this thread. Oh, wait...

Really people, come up with something besides the same old rhetoric.

The idiot that goes by the name hoof-hearted and seems to post on every topic forum has yet again given his two cents without contributing any opinion of the topic itself. Just more retarded rambling from a moron. However im sure you will now proceed to correct my grammar as you usually do.

Actually, I gave my opinions about five pages back. Feel free to read back and check them out.

I just didn't see the necessity in repeating the same tired phrases over and over like those who want to legalize alcohol sales. "If you vote No, you're actually supporting illegal blah, blah, blah and illegal clubs that blah, blah, blah. Vote Yes and Princeton will get all kinds of blah, blah, blah and lots of industry and businesses will blah, blah, blah."

Good job on the post! I see my efforts in grammar correction are paying off!

If I can teach just one person to not write like a complete imbecile it's all been worth it.

If you're a true Christian you shouldn't be getting involved with politics anyway. Give Caesars things to Caesar and Gods to God. Do you know what that means? Follow the law but don't get involved! Politics is satans work. And bootleggars are not only located in the ville but also in country club, elks, and legion you racists idiots.

You didn't get none of that out of the Bible.False proffit. Why don't you start on Dr Hall if you want to start correcting someone.

You better go back and do some more reading too and pick up your rock on the way. Anybody can take things out of content and make it fit or support any opinion they decide they want it too and try to shove it down someones throat.
Sounds like you wouldn't know a true christian if you meet them Pride comes before a big fall and people like you are what turns people looking God away fromthe churches.

When we moved down here from northern Illinois, I did not even know places were still dry. It was actually pretty funny to us to think liquor was banned. I thought that went out with prohibition.

So why bother staying dry when all around you is wet? People just go out of town to drink and then drive home anyway. It does bring in revenue, booze is expensive and well taxed. I did hear several restaurant chains did not build in Princeton because of the liquor laws. The ability to have a drink with dinner will bring people from other areas, but maybe not the locals. Being brought up differently, I really do not see the reasoning to stay dry. Do people really think they will go to Hell if they have a drink? Amazing.

Your right everywhere around here is wet. Not only do people leave town to buy alcohol or eat at a restaurant where they can drink they ain't just taking alcohol revenue out of town they shop out of town buy gas outta town. Theres alot more money princeton is losing out on than just alcohol sales.

Hey, what happened? They deleted my response! I didn't even use any bad language or names. I guess it upset one to many with my northern paganistic(I think that is a word) ways. MY God does not condemn he/she forgives. Being a good person is what is important, not that you have a drink or two with dinner! Anyway, as I said yesterday, I was amazed that Princeton was dry when we moved here. I really did not know that still existed. We are not big drinkers, so not a big deal for us, but it IS good revenue. All the vices bring good revenue...cigarettes, gambling (the lottery) and drinking.

Ordinarily I would say that this fight is none of my business, since I am a resident of Trigg County, not of Princeton. But since Patrick Yates crossed the county line and meddled in our (successful) effort to repeal Prohibition in Trigg County and bring it into the 21st century, I will put in my bit here.
Repealing Prohibition is not the real issue: The vote is really about the political power of the preachers like Yates, the "Bapitmullahs" and "backwoods Baptist Ayatollahs" I call them. "Dry County" is a negative label that identifies a place as being backward and religiously bigoted. Break the political power of the preachers and get rid of that negative label if you want industries to locate in the county.
Call us what you will but God says vengeance is mine!

I'll take a dry Caldwell co over a wet Trigg any day of he week! Cadiz is a great place but the transients from up north that live by the lake are destroying that whole county morally. Just like MOST Democrates and liberals you don't like Christians or Jesus or you like to water His word down. You call us Bigots to keep us from voicing our opinion if it doesn't line up with your liberal thinking.

Yeah, we all want to be just like you advanced liberal thinking Northern people over in Trigg co....:):)

You guys worship your god and we will worship our God!
