Well I have worked for the company for about 3 months now it pays well but it is definitely something that you have to work @ but with a good attitude and will power you can do it. There is great opportunity for success in this company and if you have any desire to be successful and the will power to maintain good work habits you can do it.

It is a great company. I have been with them for over a year and I love it. You won't find a better group of people to work with or a more ethical group. You have to be a self-motivated individual. If you have any questions or you want more info you can contact me at [email protected] and I will put you in touch with someone.

It is still a great company. I have been with them for three years now and still loving it. You get paid to help people. What could be better?

Could anyone tell me what a sales manager does on a day to day basis and their role within this company?

This company wants you to go door to door lowing to people to get in their homes to sale to them. No leads and no help but lies. They also want you to go to Nashville for sale school oh and you have to pay for it not them. My husband is currently in Nashville for this company and he is ready to leave. He started school today and he is already ready to leave because of their lies. Yes this company gives you a good pay and so forth but shouldn't your morals and your family come first instead of a company that wants nothing but lies and for you to be rude to your customers. He received and email saying he had to memorize these things before school and he has refused to do so because where we come from if he acted like what they want he would be shot. This company also has people that text instead of emailing or phone calls, very unprofessional. I do not recommend working for or buying anything from this company. My husband is staying in Nashville because he has to pay for it and even if he leaves or of he gets sent home for any reason he still has to pay. And yes they will send you home for very stupid reasons. While staying in Nashville you are roomed with some one that you do not know also unless you pay for your own room them you get to be by yourself. This company is disgusting and a disgrace.

Do not work for this company. After the trainer at Nashville school called my husband stupid and said he didn't have his priorities straight my husband walked out of the school and away from this company. The guy was bitching about how much it cost since my husband decided to leave due to an ill 2 yr old at home and after being called stupid and retarded repeatedly. I don't know about others but no money or anything is more important then my child's life. After talking with my husband telling him he needed to come home the teacher of the school which is part of the company decided he would be rude with me. Stay away from this company.

What is the base pay for sales? What % of commission do you make? Is it all cold calling and door to door?

I am not sure the encounter Lora had was about but I know that is not the norm. Bluegrass Heritage and Family Heritage offer the opportunity to make a great living while marketing a product that truly can make a difference in people`s lives.

I am being very cautious about working for a company that uses "pressure" marketing tactics or any form of dishonesty. I already worked for one -- Bankers Life and Casualty -- and I've never seen so much pressure put on a person who simply answered the phone, and who doesn't want to buy a policy, just because he/she will turn 65 in 3 months!

I, too, had to pay for training, although it was in my hometown, and it wasn't cheap. If you're going to bring big bucks (they hope) to Bankers or any other insurance company, the least they can do is pay for training.

Oh, and next time an agent from any company tries to use the classic lines like "I have times available at 2:00 and 2:30 on Wednesday... which one is better for you?" tell him/her "Either time will be fine... because I can tell you to screw yourself anytime."
