<quoted text>Curtis cares about Hopewell. He stands up for what is right. In my opinion, he respresents the commuity very well.
Rev Harris only cares about Rev Harris and his family. He appointed his granddaughter and law to a Board in the City, and they had to have her removed because she wouldn't attend the meetings..(crackish) sounding to me. He hasn't done anything for this Ward in about 11 years at least. He has fallen off and he is getting too old for politics. He has done his thing..he needs to sit down and let a younger person from his Ward take over.
He only cares about what he has to "gain" from any issues. He sued Sylvia Tucker over a seat on the SCLC. I thought that was his "protege'"? He lost that lawsuit, he lost the lawsuit about Ethanol, now he is lying that he supported Ethanol just to get re-elected. The younger generation don't know, or remember anything positive because he is now becoming the "negative."
His time on Council has been well spent, but he needs to get off Council, because he is un-doing his good. Travel through town and look at his Ward, no street lights, no curbing and gutters.. and he doesn't even attend the meetings that benefit his Ward.. The CDBG meetings funding geared toward the betterment of low to moderate income people.
He attempted an Empowerment Center with little to no response. And he lost a Civil Rights complaint for the secretary at the high school that works for Clarence Nichols.
Need I say more.. Ward 2 you need a change, vote the person that is most likely to do the most good and that knows your WARD. Someone that has been in the Ward almost all of her life..!!
GOODBYE Rev. Curtis Harris.. you need to retire !!
