For firefighters at the Jefferson Park station, it was a deal they couldn't let pass them by.

It is about time. This has been long overdue. Most of the commercial buildings are within their area. I am glad that the petty egos of a few did not stop this from happening.

Are you kidding. There are 5 ladder trucks within 5 minutes of that station on every side of it. they dont need one. they wanted an ambulance and they couldnt even staff that. lets see how much more money the county is gonna waste on it now.

Let me get this straight. You are complaining anout having another resource for the community? I thought there was only two arial type units in Prince George. You referenced three more in your post. Surely you are not stating that we should be reliant on another jurisdiction for emergency equipment. Also, I beleive most of the commercial buildings are in this area. Why are people like you so quick to complain when somebody else makes strides to get ahead? You may want to check your facts there idiot.

I have my facts straight and well advised. Yes the remaining 4 ladder trucks that are 5 minutes down the road can and have been utilized on mutual aide. Yes there are two other trucks in the county but how often do they get used.

This new vehicle is only going to put more of a strain on county economics due to repair.
It will not even pass the required Ladder Test No wonder they didn't use It in Caroline Co.

Good luck with your parade piece

Parade piece? Nope, that would be located at the courthouse station. They are the ones that like to restore old junk into a parade pieces. Talk to their older members. They said it was a piece of gun back when it was new. Why restore it now? So the fact is you would rather rely on another locality than have that resource in ours? Also, you might want to get someone to advise you on simple math. You started out in the first post with five. Then, you stated four and an additional two in your second post. That would be six! By the way, you sound vaguely familiar. Are you the same Facts that posted in another thread defending a certain ex-board member and county firefighter?

If the other two trucks do not get used then give one of those to the Jefferson Park station and save money. That is an easy fix if your facts are correct which I am sure they are since you are so well advised as you stated. Give them the truck from the Courthouse station and save the taxpayers money. Has that truck ever failed a required ladder test as you stated earlier? I guess we should scrap this truck idea because of the cost for the equipment and upkeep would not benefit the citizens. Instead we should spend the money on restoring an antique piece of junk and pay for it's upkeep. Tell me again how that rust bucket that was left in the woods benefits the citizens or public safety?

In my first post if you re read it I said 5 aerial trucks 5 minutes from JP fire dept. the aerial at the substation 3 is about 12-14 mins away. So you have 5 units (courthouse, hopewell, 2- ft lee, ch, Hell even add pburg). Yes. The courthouse should use there's more often. But what puts fires out a fire engine or a ladder truck. In my eyes I think tht staffing should be a priority. Not firetruck a that the county cannot put people on. Especially during the day.

When trucks go out driver only, last night or weds of last week for example, firefighters get killed. And property burns down.

Yes I'm not familiar with the restoration process that is going on exactly. But I've seen where they have been doing fundraisers for the scrape metal. Why don't you hold fundraisers to help supplement the funds that the county gives you so maybe they can put money elsewhere like schools or buildings.

It is a slap in the head to other county departments that actually use there money for equipment. Why do they need a dually diesel to run ems first response. Oh that's right so they can pull the scrape metal around when they paint it. I guess the county will have to buy a trailer for them next. It's a shame that a few people are holding our public safety back when we deserve much more them what us citizens are getting. It's time for more fulltime staffing for fire and ems. Put people on the equipment and let us citizens know that someone is coming when we call 911 and not leave us guessing.

I feel much better

I am the leadership and i can hide behind a computer like a fool too... Ladder did pass find out why it did not get certified...since you know so much you know 2 ft lee trucks together wont come to pg.... You also need to learn how to tell time... No ladder truck is 5 min away except ft lee... Also worry about getting truck 1 out with more then just a driver... Your reign is over... Just step your game up and get a truck that can actually reach something and not have to drag a fire engine with it because its not capable of doing shit by itself...

This is awesome. I lie how the conversations always fall back to one individual. Who's name is not unfamiliar with this site. Wonder if he will pick up his call response once Tower 5 gets put in service. You will see Truck 1 start running power lines down just to catch runs.
