So what does it mean to a student if the school is not accredited; does this have any practical meaning at all? Is the school's diploma worthless?

Almost every school's diploma is worthless! The teachers don't teach, just sit back and count their money between whining for more. Look at the one in the news for going on game shows instead of showing up for his classes!
For all the teacher haters out there... Then why don't you get a teaching degree and sit back. See if it's all you think it's cracked up to be!

Very nicely put..."Show Up for Work" probably does just that...shows up for work and expects to be paid just for showing up...they wouldn't have the stones to take a job teaching. If it was as they say, then they would already be there.

Go volunteer in a classroom and get back to us.

That's assuming you have no restraining orders against you.

Nobama is the biggest reason for failing schools. Everey year kids are forced to watch his speeches, seducing them into socialist worship when they could actually be learning something.

I was a public teacher for 11 years. I taught Alg II, AP-Calculus and some other math courses.
My observation is most schools are taught by minorities and/or women who are not qualified. Rarely, my wife wife will vouch for me, are there any men in elementary schools. In some cases, Norfolk, Hampton, NNPS, VB, CPK, etc., there are many elementary schools 100% women from the principal to the Pre-K. a few, if any, understand science and basic math. Here in York County elementary schools it's virtually black or women. When schools dismiss the kids whose parent(s)pick them up, if there is 1 male/white(probably teacher asst.), they put him out front to give the allusion of white teachers.
* Go to the 7 cities and google their web sites, look at each individual school, click faculty/staff and observe.

I'm an elementary school teacher who tutors algebra on weekends. Does that make me unqualified?

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Libra

This is a fantastic day for using your brain with precision and accuracy. For instance, it's great for filling in a complicated form or going through some complex paperwork because you'll find it easy to concentrate on what you're doing. It's especially good for paying attention to the sort of finicky details that you normally aren't interested in but which are right up your street.
