OMG LMFAO, I'm sure your not that big. Used to be down by P-burg auto parts. It's list in the phone book under pounds away. I need to go back to them. I'm back up to 170 again. It's a simple diet just regular foods, you'd be suprised how well it works. Cheap too. I did it for the second time 5 yrs ago and lost 40 lbs in 2 months and that was with cheating lol But as you can see I didn't stick with it.

supersize wrote: Can anyone tell me about what you can have to eat ? A day or week , what kind of foods? It's mostly high protein/low carb. She used to make her own protein bread and protein snacks(Kind of like little protein bites). I would love to go, or have a buddy to "diet/exercise" with.

I lost 75 pounds in 1992 using Pounds Away. I did well but have since put the weight back on.
We could have meats, real meat, not processed meats. At first only white meats such as chicken, turkey, tuna, and pork. Eggs, bacon, cheese, real cheeses not American cheese or Velveeta. The vegetables permitted were green beans, cabbage, and...thats all I remember of the veggies. Cole slaw was permitted made with sugar substitue but you can use real mayo. Seems like we could have the 35 calorie bread but only one or two slices daily. Cream cheese was permitted as I made a candy with cream cheese, cool whip and peanut butter--mix and freeze. If I can think of any other foods I'll post. But mostly--meats, no sugar.

I've been going to Pounds Away and lost 77 pounds since May.. There office is straight across from the Social Security Office in Pburg.. They also meet at Pikeville a couple days a week.. U can eat any kind of meat, eggs and cheese all day long if ya want.. U can snack on pepperoni, Pork Rinds, Sugar Free Jello.. then she'll add in a couple other things u can have.. Green beans usually at the beginning of the diet.. And the number of carbs ur permitted to have in a day is different for everybody.. I would definitely recommend it to anybody.. Weighing in on Tuesday is a critical part of the program.. gives ya the motivation to get up and do something.. I really love it! Good Luck to anybody who tries it! And, I would also like to mention that Anne Derossett, the lady that runs this program is amazing.. She's very supportive and knows what she's talkin about! She also sells some low carb peanut butter candy that is to die for! Even if u don't join the program u should go by and pick up some candy.. My 10 year old loves it.. Tastes like a peanut butter milkshake he says!

Can you give more info on where they meet in Pikeville? I have started a diet on my own but am having trouble sticking with it. I would love to join a program like pounds away to help keep me motivated.

I would love to join a program like pounds away to help keep me motivated. I'm not sure of the exact location but I will ask her on Tuesday and let u know for sure which days and where at! Good Luck with it! Walking and drinking a lot of water will help u to lose it faster as well.. Also on the program ur allowed to drink Diet Soda, just be aware that even though it has no carbs it still has a lot of sodium which causes u to retain water and it will work against ur diet! I'll get back with ya Tuesday afternoon!

Is anybody still going to Pounds Away? If so are any of you on Facebook? Just thought we might add each other and be a support group as soon as I get the extra income to join. I used to go years ago and then I left the area. I gained my weight back plus more but since I live in Pburg now and I'm interested in getting involved once again.
