I get your drift. But the Government could take every dime the billionaires have and we still will be another Greese before His next term ends unless we get a grip on excess spending. More taxes will not solve our problems the radicals would spend it as fast as it the treasure Dept.

What would the fair tax rate be for the rich, 50%, 60% 70%? The top 10% already pay 70% of all taxes paid to support our great country. Abe Lincoln said you can never build up the little (middle class) man by tearing down the big man. Without the wealthy class creating jobs and paying taxes all would starve to death. There would be no safety net for the very needy. Obama wants to fool the middle class into voting for him by his class warfare talk.

Millionaires currently pay an average of 25% in taxes. Romney's 2011 income tax shows he paid 14.2%; that's after he amended his return lowering what he paid to the Mormon Church so he could make it appear he has paid at least 14%. However, as soon as the election is over, win or lose, he will again amend his 2011 tax reform and claim the whole deduction for his church and get his money back. This man knows how to avoid paying taxes, he has made a living at it.

If you're okay with someone who made $13.7 million last year paying taxes at a rate of 14.1%, lower than most middle class Americans, then you're part of the problem.--

Trickle down politics does not work. If it did, where are the jobs???? Tax loopholes for the rich have been effect for 12+ years. Hell yes, the rich should pay, oh, how about 92% of their income in taxes. Let's be fair here. And, while we are being fair how about issuing store cards for everyone with the rich having a gold colored card. Every time anyone purchases anything they have to have a card, plus cash. If you have a poor card, you pay 21 cents for an item; if you have a middle card, you pay 33 cents for the same item, but--and here is where fairness kicks in--if you have the GOLD COLORED CARD, the same item costs you $1.00! Talk about fairness. Stupid idea, you think? I agree, but it makes the same sense as having different tax rates. If everyone paid the same rate, the rich would still pay lots more taxes. Why? Because they have more to tax.
