I have 9 implants, and the last post by tigger is about right. The implant itself is going to cost you around $1800 just for the implant, then another $500 for the post that screws into the implant, and then another $600-$800 for the crown that goes on the post.

That make it a total of about $3000 per tooth. Of course this is for the full-size implants, and not the "mini-implants" that you see advertised much cheaper. Mini implants are mostly used for just holding regular dentures in place to keep them from moving around.

Plus there are no guarantees with implants. They do not always work and sometimes the bone will not grow around the implant and lock it in place. Sometimes the bone is too thin, the way the original tooth socket is shaped has a lot to do with it, and.....you DO NOT get your money back should they not hold in place. Some Periodontists will work with you and try and re-locate the implant into a different part of the bone if it doesn't hold and not charge much. But those are getting few and far between.

There is nothing any better than full implants if you are wanting or needing to replace lost teeth and want something as close to real teet as you can get. But it's not going to be cheap. I know. I have about $28,000 in my lower teeth alone.

Thank you so much for the information.

Go see Dr. Marvin Bush is Pikeville. His office does both the traditional dental implants and the mini-implants. In my experience with the dentists and oral surgeons in this area - he is the only one who does not seem to try to make a fortune on his patients. He takes the time to talk to you and give you your options.
