As I said on the other post, please give this family some respect and let them grieve over their loss. No one will know the truth until the autopsy report is finished.

Does anyone know what ever happened to his mother Sandy Collins? I had heard long ago she was in Lexington, but never heard further. Gary is in Pburg. I know this is hard on him and his sisters. Very hard. And I don't know where Earnestine is now, I've lost track. I don't know what these small towns are going to do about these problems. This can't keep happening. No one seems to be trying to control these problems. They just let it go on. I think the authorities have to take this on themselves. I have to say I have to hold them responsible. That's how it's always been there.

I wasn't disrespecting the family. I know them personally, and all I wanted to know if it was the truth. Don't take some moral high road with me when all I was doing was inquiring about it. Can't even ask a legit question on here without someone like yourself making an ignorant comment like you did.

you must not be much of a friend of "the family", if you make a stupid a$$ comment like you did. In the future if someone asks a question, please don't reply, ok? Everyone respects grieving families, YOU don't have to tell us.

It's not like everyone knows everyone in Pburg. It is sad, tragic. It's only natural to wonder what is going on with family. I certainly don't respect anyone. I knew him as a kid. He had problems. We all do.

Everyone makes mistakes, we all have. Shawn had problems, but he had a good heart. I was good friends with him when we were younger & loved him dearly. Please do not pass judgement on people when they arent here to defend themselves. Everyone makes mistakes. Consider his family and his daughter when you post the things you do.

You can blame the authorities all you want. However, it is their choice to do drugs. All anyone wants to do is lay the blame somewhere else. There are plenty of people in these "small towns" who are NOT on drugs because WE CHOOSE not to be. WAKE UP!

Why don't everyone leave this family alone? How would you feel if this was your son, grandson and think how his daughter will feel.
Whatever he did let this family have privacy to mourn the loss of someone they loved dearly. You don't stop loving your child or grandchild just because they may have done something you disapproved of. Judge not least you be judged.

I agree with curious. Shawn comes from a wonderful family & I can't imagine what they are going through right now. If nothing else this should be a place to pay respect to him & give the family comfort. Shawn was a good person, who like us all, was human & made mistakes. We all do. This shouldn't be about hateful words & hurtful gossip, most of which isn't true. He should be remembered for the big heart & beautiful smile that he had, among many other things. He was loved by many & will be missed greatly by many, including myself. I hadn't been around him much in the last couple of years but I know Shawn, he had a heart of gold. If you don't have something good to say about him then shut up. May God be with his family throughout this horrible loss, you are in my prayers.
