They are allowed to make up too 12k a yaer and work also. If you receive social security. SSI does not apply. I can't blame people for working. No one can live on 673.00 per month

I draw disabled social security but I worked for 35 years and paid something out of every check into social security including extra just in case I became disabled or sick. To call me a lazy bum is ridiculous. I guess you work now and I hope you don't become disabled, especially before you have enough quarters PAID in to social security. In that case you would have to apply for SSI and be just another BUM. "There but for the grace of God go I".

you are only allowed to work 9 months on a trial basis with the government aware of it, then after that if you worked the 9 months you keep working and get off the draw , in my opinion if you draw disabled social security you would not be able to work, these people doing jobs on the side, like welding , night watching, cleaning houses ,that is what makes me so mad. we working people need to stanf firm if you know a person doing this report them to social security office.

That's exactly what I was going to put. You have to pay in for Social Security! Don't call someone a lazy bum after they've worked for that money.

sick and social security what they are talking about is people who draw ssi or try to but go out and do the exact same thing that they said was wrong with them for example saying i got a bad back and then go and lift 2 hundred pound objects and not have a problem doing it. you earned yours and i bet they will agree with you they arn't calling you lazy bums just the people who are faking just cause they don't want to work.

you people are crazy you work to get your ssi and for like people who cant work they got hurt and what should you do if you get hurt so bad you cant walk and you got to have someone take you to the dr everyweek to see how you are doing. one more thing how you want them to live if they can talk and move there arms you want them to work too

I know one guy on SSI that hurt his back after two months on the job 30 years ago. He's out every night under the cover of darkness with his coon hounds. He'll drop them off at the foot of the hill, and then follow them, running,(not walking) up one hill, down another, up one hill, down another. HEEEEERE RED, HEA, HEA, HEEEEEEERE RED, HEA HEA

Allowed to work on certain programs and draw SSI but are only allowed to make so much. I dont draw SSI myself but had a family memeber who was disabled from birth. They drew it but were allowed to work and make "X" ammount of money and still keepo the SSI..
Lots of folks wouldent sing the same tune if they walked a mile in others shoes. I get sick of the cheaters myself but just because someone is out of the house dosnt mean they are not disabled..You are allowed to hunt and fish and have hobbies, but not have gainful employment. Lifting 200 pounds 8 hours a day, then yea they should be working..Fishing over the spillway with a disabled fishing license, well then they are well within the law..Dont let all the cheaters give the honest folks a bad name. I saw my uncle take crap all his life for being on SSi even though he was born with a gimp leg shorter than the other and a deformed lung.
