You dont see other religions trying to provoke christians here in the us why cant they just live their own way and stop whining. its a free country stop trying to screw things up for others its hard enough as it is without you trying to pick a fight with people of different views. Opinions anyone??

Sounds a little hypocritical to me. Aren't you starting a post attacking them?

Just wondering why they want to all of a sudden publicly demonize religion. You dont see christians posting burn in hell on billboards or trying to make a joke out of their beliefs. so whats the reason for these attacks?

Ok instead of giving an opinion on attacking religion you just want to start an argument while dodging the point. So let me ask this. is it justifiable for me to rent a billboard out of the blue and call you ignorant?

I dont think what he's doing is attacking. I think he is just questioning them. No harm in that. Unless of they think they are above and beyond reproach. And im sure none of the atheist think that right?

So, im going to ask the same question. So whats up with all the hoopla?

Yes. That's your right. I wouldn't care if you wanted to waste the money. It everyone's right to believe in whatever. Just because they don't express it the way you feel it should be done doesn't make it wrong. If you have faith in your belief it shouldn't matter about some knucklehead. My problem is that you feel so bad about all this attention yet you start this post when you know exactly what is going to happen.

I enjoy intelligent discussions on current events. i just dont understand the need for sabatoging someone because they are different. you're right people can believe what they want and i respect and encourage that fact. This is america people should embrace each other and different cultures. but i do not support those who want to disrupt the peace we have with each other just to get their name in the headlines. If christians had pulled a stunt like this atheists would be raving mad and would want answers as well.

Atheists are constantly having "religious" people attack them- Atheists are called names, judged as immoral, and told they are going to burn in hell by Christians (who have NO proof anything they say is true) most religious people inherited their beliefs I have much more respect for someone who studies the issues and forms an opinion on evidence not what daddy and mommy say- freedom to practice a religion or no religion is a basic right- Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof- and religions do not have proof-

I just find it odd they protest against something they themselves do not believe exists. You would think just keeping their opinion to themselves and not believing would be sufficient.

You stick around untill judgement day and you have to, you have no other choice, when the great Judge of all eternity speaks, then you will see how foolish your words are. Remember there is no appeal from His verdit, the Great I Am.

Why do you not just believe and keep your opinion to yourself?

God says a fool in his "heart" says there is no God. God doesn't call one a fool who likes to spout off at the mouth about christian faith being a joke. Many say things from the mouth when on death bed, they then can by faith can see the creator. But one who says from the heart there is no God - God calls that person a fool. Do you have proof that love, hate, etc., exist? No you don't. But if you have a spouse or a child, you experience "love" and no one can tell you it is false. But you can't prove that you now or ever loved a parent or anyone else. You can't prove that hate you may have in your heart is real. You can't even prove that 112 degree weather is hot on you when in the sun. We that know the Lord by faith accept the fact that we look foward to seeing the Lord. You have faith that you will not be killed by a drunk tomorrow while driving down the road. If you knew for sure you would be killed as soon as you got behind the wheel on a specific hour, you would stay at home. Yes friend you have faith, we choose to place our faith in the creator and believe that we will live again after our life in this old troubled world is over and our body returns to dust.

Most "Atheists" aren't really atheists they're just people trying to rebel against their families and peers. Most are starving for attention. Real atheists don't go around constantly bashing other religions because atheists are supposed to believe in altogether peace and happiness with no religion segregating people. They're not supposed to be miserable hateful fucks like most of these teeny boppers around here act.

Most, but not all atheists / evolutionists I have known are either homosexuals or in immoral relationships of some kind or persons with bad attitudes toward others of some kind. Saying they are atheist / evolutionists is just a way to shirk responsibility for wrong doing.

Anyway they are opening atheist churches both online and brick so many atheist / evolutionists are admitting they are a religion now. Just Google Atheist Church...

The main point the original poster was trying to make was about atheists being "attention seekers", correct? What about all the Christian billboards, television shows and channels, and sidewalk preachers who shout at strangers? It seems to me that the real attention seekers are the major religious institutions. I think the reason most religious people get upset about an atheist speaking his or her opinion is that they can see that their religious fervor is losing ground to intelligent discourse. Religion is an outdated concept that has done nothing but divide people. What do all the major wars have in common, aside from ideological differences? Religion. There has never, in the history of the world, been a war fought in the name of atheism.

Wrong, the major wars and loss of life were fought in atheist countries in recent history, Russia, China, Others. Millions have been killed. Germany was basically atheist in the time of Adolf Hitler also, remember he tried to destroy mainstream religion and minor religions for the most part?

Albania, China, Cuba, North Korea, and the Soviet Union the very mention of these countries bring up the ideals of atheism and its outcome for the peoples under their control.
