NO, I'm not crazy! My story is: Was fishing at Dewey lake, on a boat, fall of the year, leaves on the ground, nice day. Was leaning back taking it easy, motor off, just floating along up a cove enjoying my time and looking up into the timber when I saw a man squating beside a tree. Had Daniel Boone type clothes on, coonskin cap and all, and was carrying a shotgun with the barrel in the crook of his arm. He got up and turned around and started to walked off then just disappeared. Absolutely NO sounds were heard except for the birds. Mind u the leaves were dry and on the ground. True story. Was really mind blowing. Still is to this day and that was about 15 years ago.

Ok that just gave my ass chills!
i do believe you, i live about a mile from there, and i go there to eat at the tables at the spillway and i do get a uncomfortable feeling there, but even more so if i go to the tables around the lake, its eerie feeling , like your being watched, and sometimes it's too quiet, you can't hear nothing, i've heard things splash in the water, but i figure its fish, but i do know alot of people have died there, i will never go alone, i take my man with me, he aint skeered of nothing, but i sh*t my pants if i saw what you did omg!

The field across from abbott. Some cheerleader was killed with a hammer and rayped over there in the 50's. She was the last to be buried in whatever graveyard it is, in Martin.

The cheerleader was killed on west prestonsburg bridge and she wasn't killed with a hammer. I believe she was raped then pushed off the bridge. No one has experienced anything haunted there though.

I have had odd experiences on the lake as well. I always take my dog with me on my boat whenever I go fishing. He loves it, but he hates going out on Dewey. I can't keep him out from under my chair. He senses something and is scared the whole time. He only acts like that on that lake.
