Police Name Three Killed in Presque Isle County Accident

Police have released the names of the three people who died in a Presque Isle County head-on accident.

I sincerely hope they throw the book at the kid who was driving the pickup, make an example out of him. I am so frustrated by this. It could have been me or my family. Driving during the noon hour to town. In my opinion, kids of that age should be allowed to drive, but they need restrictions. No passengers under a certain age. No CELLPHONES. And what of the school administrators who allowed a truck full of teenagers to leave the school property? Weren't those kids supposed to be supervised? Especially since most of the students attending PI Academy are challenged of some sort, be it mentally or behaviorally. Yeah, Presque Isle Academy. A realy ASSET to the community of Onaway. What a bunch of little gems attand that "school". Menaces like the one who killed 3 people on Monday should be confined to home schooling and electronically tethered. Its a matter of public safety.

This could have just as easily been an Onaway student. Dont you remember any fatalities in auto accidents involving Onaway High School student drivers? I do. Now is the time to lend an ear, give support to your neighbor - everyone is hurting: The people who lost their family in a flash, you, me and yes....even that kid from the Academy. Okay, point taken. But let me once more say what I feel most strongly about without any extra bs:

and who are u refering to cause i am related to some of the people in that accident and everyone is trying to blame someone. everytime there is a tragic accident like this and this is a small town and everyone knows everyone or is related to everyone one way or another and i completely understand that there is alot of emotions flying around and that is to be expected.No matter who is quilty of what, everyone of those kids remember what happened and probably wished that they didnt remember what they saw but they have to live with this for the rest of their lives.And i can there is going to be alot of talk flying around about what happened, how it happened and everything else. It makes me sick to have to write defending PIA....NO I AM NOT A STUDENT NOR WAS I A STUDENT...What little minded people like you don't realize is that whatever you think, however you feel. A kid from Onaway Schools could have been involved just the same; I have ridden with some of them. I have driven near some of them. Teenagers (Younger and Older) do not think of mortality at such a young age. Bite your tongue as next time (hope there isn't one) it could be an Onaway High School group as I was once there..."Closed Campus" my arse. I feel for the family I truly do.

Do you know every single one of the kids that attend this school? No? Thats what i thought. You shouldnt go around judging people that you dont know. It could have just as easily been a kid from a different school. It could have even been someone you were related to. You shouldnt go around pointing fingers. I know the driver and i also know that he wouldnt do something so horrible on purpose. He will have to live everyday for the rest of his life knowing what he did. It was just a horrible accident, they happen everyday and before you get all the facts you have no right at all to be saying stuff like that. As for getting rid of the school. Just because six of the kids that attend there made a mistake doesnt mean you should punish the rest of them. You should really think about what you say before you say it.

Alright. I am the friend of this driver and I am not really liking the way you seem to think "Onawayer". Any person could be at fault for that accident and yet it happened to be him. He is no trouble maker trust me, besides you don't even know who this person is, so who are you to judge?? I went and saw him the day after the accident and trust me he wasn't all "happy happy" like you probably think he is. He knows that he made a mistake! Everyone does! I am sure you have made many of them! This just happened to me a big mistake. And it will be learned from.
