Jodi was not able the pull the wool over Dr. DeMarte's eyes. Additionally, Dr. DeMarte did not feel compelled to give Jodi books like "Erroneus Zones" or pay for her to have a subscription to "O" magazine like Alyce. Willmott kept trying to play volleyball with Dr. DeMarte. I would guess with
Jennifer's short stature that she did not play volleyball or any other competitive sports. She was allegedly on the debate team. Even with heels, Jodi towers over Willmott. Would it be inappropriate to call her "fun size"?
How L-O-O-W can you go?

Does it offend or surprise you that Dr. DeMarte attended private school?
I suspected as much. The question is which private school and what were her interpersonal experiences there? Have you any info especially re the latter?

The one thing I've had reinforced from this trial (as well as many others) is the realization that the entire "mental help" field is subjective and opinionated and probably of little help to most. It seems to only confuse the issue rather than remedy it.
Right on the money, Hybrid.

I was not confused at all by Dr. DeMarte's testimony.
For those who have questions, perhaps they would need to
review the answers given in her testimony.
I do not know why people fixate on the e-mails, IM's, and text messages between JA and TA.
I prefer to look at testing results and the results of clinical interviews.

And that's why you're being led astray, my chum - incomplete information, or as the worthy doctor would say, "incomplete data points".

You're missing the whole point.
She went to the private school up to the point it was offered and then transitioned to high school. I believe the school goes through 9th grade. Private schools do not have to deal with problem students.
They can tell the parents to have them move along to other schools. You are trying to make problems where there aren't any.

If you are so interested, why don't you contact the school? Good luck with that.

You're right about that one. Ever heard about private school coverups?

I'm going to watch "Zero Dark Thirty" and right now we see some water boarding action. I bet that would put an end to a lot of the
authority problem and loss of memory.

Like many other responders on this thread, you take the view that because I'm not OVERWHELMED by your worthy doctor, it must be because of her youth. By that logic, I expect next to hear it's because of her ethnicity, whatever that may be. Look, this lady doesn't seem to have even the most elementary MANNERS - witness the very audible, respectful and cheery greeting she received from Ms. Wilmott at the start of each day's testimony, to which I'm yet to notice an audible response. There is such a thing as UPBRINGING and BREEDING, and it's a fairly good indicator of real professionalism. Apparently all her years of academic exposure has not been enough to breed good manners into this individual. You know what they say, you can take someone out of the g ..., oh well you know the rest.
She's not there to exchange makeup tips and have a sleepover with Barbie and Borderline.
As someone pointed out, Dr. DeMarte is the Alpha and what does that make Willmott?

Willmott is the one lacking in manners and professionalism.

I'm sure you will never be asked too. Forensics is a part of Psychology that is needed. I guess she could sit in a room and listen to people whine that their life is crap because their parents didn't get them a swingset when they were kids. Of course then send them a bill for it.

Clear case of mistaken identity, Rita dear. Show me where I said Dr.D. is homely. Never met the lady so I would never offer such an opinion. Could you be trying to project your own sentiments onto me just because I disagree with her overall manner? For all I know she might be quite attractive, but that would be entirely irrelevant in my overall assessment. You have a good day, y'hear!
I am so sorry, LA was the one who used the homely comment. You said something about her chin. I am beginning to wonder if your name is really Alyce.

Obviously batting for the ALV team. This thread is about Dr. DeMarte's house being burglarized
and the laptop with Arias's evaluation on it stolen. I was wondering if they had ever figured out who broken in and who took the laptop or if it was recovered. Obviously, it didn't stop the evaluation or the testimony.

Was Donavan out of jail at that time? Would it more likely be the JAA team or the other team?

Notice we have not heard too much about the theft of the lap top but boy oh boy we hear EVERYTHING about Jodi's sex life or about all her excuses about Travis being dead. Anyone with half a brain and sight in at least one eye knows she killed him and why. When is the madness going to end. Then you have people on web sites talking about what Dr. DeMarte looks like or how many years she has practiced. She is not that much younger than Jennifer. Is Martinez a better lawyer because of his age or is it pure talent ? Jennifer knows the answer to that one. People amaze me sometimes with the way their minds work. Alyce in La La Land knows who she is and what she has done and why. She is the one who has to live with it not us. Something happened to her in her life to make her try so hard to justify her actions and words that she knows are tainted.(Maybe a husband or boyfriend (really "done her wrong" but there is no reason Travis has to pay for someone else's sins.)

I hate to take up for her but I think she is one of those people that take up a cause and it becomes their life. She lives her life thru battered women and believes that most women are abused by men. It's a sad thing when someone gets that sucked in. Don't get me wrong battered women need help getting away from their abusers. But when a cause clouds your professional judgement it is time to take a step back. I think at this point there isn't much hope for her speaking and forensic work, I think this case has toasted that.

I think Dr. Marte is very competitive with other women, and is willing to "interpret" symptoms as a borderline personality disorder instead of PTSD in order to try to harm another female. I've met other female doctors like Dr. Marte.
You really think she is out to get all other women. That's strange.
