Does anyone remember the Plough in Prescot. My grandma used to clean there in the 50's and 60's. She used to put dusters on my feet and I used to run around the seats to help her to clean. My auntie Ada was the housekeeper there for the landlord.
Is the George and Dragon still in Whiston?
Does anyone remember the Mug Fair - I think it used to be held near Prescot Parish Church.
I have not been back to Prescot for years and am really interested in the history of the town.
I used to go to Oliver Lyme Road,Evelyn Avenue and Maryville Road Schools before we moved to North Wales in 1968.
