I believe that's under the jurisdiction of the county sheriff, you know, Rev. McCullum, did anyone call him for help?
<quoted text>
Bullock was there and 2 deputies of McCullum. Nobody did anything but get the guns away from the crazies. No jail time.

just like to know if "the one" even knows Earl. For that matter would "the one" even know how to pick up a shotgun

Why do you suppose the fugitive was taken to Lamar County Jail? Can't trust the local sheriff to keep him in jail, just curious.

I've heard of this happening in Bassfield, where people attack the EMT's trying to save someone's life, or attack fireman trying to so the same. Why? Why? Why?

The man is never seen out in the daylight. He only comes out when there is another officer that can follow him around. About 6 weeks ago at a house fire he was called out because a neighbor had a gun pointed on the firefighters and threatening them if they put out the fire and when Earl arrived the person took Earl's own gun from him. This person had a warrant out for his arrest and Earl was too scared to even arrest him.

Because the jail is full of six dozen more just like him, maybe?

Again, that's all well and good but let me ask this question:
What area do you live in where someone is out there with a gun keeping fireman from putting out a fire?
Sounds like you live in an asylum. I've heard of this happening in Bassfield, where people attack the EMT's trying to save someone's life, or attack fireman trying to so the same. Why? Why? Why? It sounds like we have a lot more people in need of being locked up if they are threatening public servants trying to do their jobs.
At one time there were several Bassfield volunteer firemen who would not go to a call on North Williamsburg Road because of the abuse that they had to endure while trying to rescue people. Does anyone know more about this?

yes unfortunately I know Earl. and yes i know how to use a shotgun. If you live in Jeff Davis County you have to know how to use one. The reason the person that tood Earl's shotgun was one of Henry's "snitches", Terry Buckley. And if you know anything about Bassfield you know he is no good. And at least "tell me what" knows where and what happened so I'm not the only one.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Earl's ability, he got a suspected murderer of the streets of Jeff Davis County. That is something to hoot about.

Many, many complaints were filed with the Attorney General on Rev., nothing came of a single complaint, just like the Betty Hudson murder. It appears we have an attorney general in name only. You would assume the FBI could investigate these complaints and do something with our dirty sheriff. I wonder what is stopping them.

Yeah where was the sheriff that nite? Its to my understanding that the constable Earl Bullock has the power to arrest the sheriff. Can we catch the sheriff on something???? Please??????

Our so-called attorney general in Mississippi is almost as big a joke as our sheriff. Jim Hood likes the headlines he gets when he prosecutes a 40-year old murder case, but he doesn't care so much when it comes to the quality of life in a county south of Highway 80.

Nothing good happens when the FBI comes around. They are headline hounds too. I'd prefer Mississippians deal with their own problems rather than -- like blacks are wont to do -- running to the feds whenever we ain't happy with something.

I don't mind them having all the press coverage as long as they come here and do what is just.

What avenue to you purpose we use to DEAL with our problems?

Perhaps we're talking past one another. It's not the FBI being gloryhounds that I'm against. My problem with the media that comes in with them or behind them and makes a situation out to be worse than it is.

The best way to deal with the problem of underhanded public officials like NT or Henry is to always let the DA know that his getting nothing done on our problems is a dealbreaker come election time. I think most of us, the voters, are too nice when we speak to our employees such as Henry or DA Kittrel.

I can't think of the place where feds made anything better.

I could not agree more, but it takes a majority plus one to make that statement bold and clear. We need a plan B.

I'm all for Plan B. So we agree there.

I'm not sure the optimum Plan B is a federal government solution. And you'd surely agree with me that it's not the job of the FBI to enforce a state matter.

If I can't come up with a non-fed Plan B, it doesn't mean there isn't one. It just means I'm not thinking hard enough.

The feds prosecute in federal court in front of a federal jury selected from several counties...not a Jeff Davis County jury. Big difference. Do you really think 12 jurors in this county would vote to convict Nadine or henry?

Oh, I think a little change of venue would fix that right up, don't you?
