A former employee, also a friend of mine was ridiculed, spit on, almost hit, whipped with towels, and cursed out by the Vietnamese owner Duong Nguyen and then fired... since she has worked there they all tried flirting with her and when that didn't work they resorted to words and violent actions upon her. I've never been there myself but now refuse to ever go due to what I've heard from one of the nicest girls I know.

I've used Check Engine on Airline near LA42 many times and they have ALWAYS been cordial to their customers. The employees there seem happy enough to work there. In fact its the same bunch of folks every time i've gone so I doubt the work conditions are abusive. They'd have a high turnaround if they treated their employees bad wouldnt they? Why do you find it necessary to point out that the owners of this business are Vietnamese? Are you trying to start race wars?
Matt the "nicest" girls in the world have been known to make up a story to their advantage.

I have used Check Engine for almost 10 years and they have always been honest and hard-working. On one occasion, I was certain I knew the problem and gave them instructions to replace my vehicles CV joints. They found that a mounting bracket had come loose and only charged me an hour labor to tighten it up. If for some reason they can't find the problem, they will not charge at all. Unless your vehicle is under warranty from the manufacturer, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

As far as the harassment claim - the owner, wife, and son all work there, so I find it hard to believe any of that would be taking place. No one "deserves" to be fired in their own eyes.

You should get your facts straight, that is not the owner of check engine.

I also find that hard to believe. They guy she said is not the owner but I've known the owner and office manager for years and believe them to the highest caliber of people in the world.

They've kept my out of warranty Hondas and Acuras going for years and will not do a thing to your car unless it's needed. They even turned me down for a relative expensive tune-up saying it was not needed.

I also have used them. They seem to do fine work...BUT...When I go in for a "QUICK" oil change...then come in & find my car on the rack with all the tires off...I just wanted my oil changed dude.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Aries

In recent weeks you've been quite concerned about a loved one, and things are likely to come to a head as Mercury turns in your mid-heaven. You may be able to solve the problem simply, which will be a relief all round, but there's a chance that you may have to do some serious thinking or get some expert advice before you know exactly what your next step should be. You may have to take official action of some kind.
