As someone recently pointed out, when Hitler introduced fluoridation to the water supplies in the death camps filled with Jewish captives, does anyone really think it was done to protect their teeth. One would have to be Alice in Wonderland to believe it was done for any benign purpose. This toxic fluoride muck has never been properly tested for safety or even for results on a level playing field. Its dangerous, toxic and doesnt even protect teeth once the milk teeth have gone. I am also disturbed to be told that because of genetic differences which cause higher incidences of diabetes and kidney damage in Afro and Latin-American populations than in caucasians, fluoride is more damaging to them. Before any more fluoride is added to food or water, or otherwise spread across our environments, a moratorium should be called and truly independent and wide scale tests should be undertaken. Fluoridation is Ineffective & Harmful, studies show

Over 2,160 professionals urge the US Congress to stop water fluoridation until Congressional hearings are conducted, citing scientific evidence that fluoridation, long promoted to fight tooth decay, is ineffective and has serious health risks. See statement: http://www.fluorideaction.org/statement.augus... .

With all do respect.....after reading some of the recent posts supporting "fluoride" The scientific evidence of fluoride lowering ones IQ was masterfully exhibited. First and foremost, you must understand the product that is added to municipal water supplies for the purpose of "fluoridation" is HYDROFLUOROSILICIC ACID, a man made industrial waste product of the phosphate fertilizer industry. Has been proven to cause lower IQ's in children, skeletal fluorosis, thyroidism, bone cancer and various other health issues. A far cry from the natural ION found in nature. One cannot compare apples to oranges. Enlighten yourself and contact your water municipality and request the MSDS on it. Second fact... do you realize we come in contact with "fluoride" in virtually all foods we consume.... for accurate proof of that please see the USDA web page...http://www.ars.usda.gov /SP2UserFiles/Place/12354500/D ata/Fluoride/F02.pdf . Digest a little of these FACTS. Further, in reference to toothpaste, Sodium Fluoride is the ingredient,( pharmaceutical grade ) and has only been proved to be effective in aiding in the prevention of dental cavities, when applied TOPICALLY, not SYSTEMICALLY, or in other words ingested. It is proven to cause dental fluorosis, and mottle teeth, what do you think its doing to your internal organs??? Take it one step farther imagine, what the nonpharmaceutical grade hydrofluorosilicic acid is doing...I am curious, do you pro-fluoridation people also recommend drinking sunscreen to prevent sun burns? Before you want to comment on a particular issue, I advise you to do your research first. Not just follow along because someone told you it was good. Again, find out what "IT" is. HYDROFLUOROSILICIC ACID, a spades a spade, not a heart, or a club.

As a citizen of poynette for more than 20 years I may not agree with the decision to take the Fluoride out of our drinking water but my voice and feelings will be heard when I vote and I think all policies should be brought to the citizens for a vote and not be totally controlled by the board

Thats the whole idea behind including public input at every community meeting in Poynette, not limited to Board meetings but includes Public Safety, Fire Commission, Public Works, Library, and so on. No one bothers to show up and be involved and informed. Unfortunately, some residents pass the buck and say they werent informed. Not sure what they expect.. a personal memo delivered door to door. Not sure they would acknowledge that either.. Its our right to go to these meetings and no, when we don't we lose the right to complain afterwards..

as for going to meetings set up for day shift workers and not the other 2/3 of the population that work nights to support there familys and pay there taxes. We count on our elected officials to serve our needs. when you work nights and do not go to the meetings you don't hear what is going on in your town until it is to late. I have yet to see informed minutes from meeting posted with easy access so people are informed what is going on in there town

Deadly decision- I think the School District should be able to vote since your kids and grandkids have to drink the poison water. If you only knew

Fluoride is a *topical* agent that kills germs on contact and it was never meant to be
ingested. Itís basically similar to swallowing Neosporin.

Itís very easy for everyone to dismiss anti-fluoridation as the movement of crackpots. To all of you I say this: You are asking the wrong question. The question is not whether or not water fluoridation is good for you.
The question is why any municipality would medicate the water supply without your consent. Why not dump multivitamins into the water? Vitamins are also good for you right? The answer is obvious. Just because you may get all of your
vitamins from one source doesn't mean your neighbor does. Wise up people. We personally don't really care about the 'why'. We just want it stopped! Join us in the growing movement.
