46 county residents in Guard shipping out

Bennington County is sending 46 men and women to the war in Afghanistan, according to numbers released this week by the Vermont National Guard.

Thank God for each and every one of them. My thoughts and prayers got out to you and your families. Thank you for making such a sacrifice on behalf of us all.

Sad to say but it's a sign of the times not to be able to do that. Reason it has been reported those left behind get call's from those against the war that like to say their family member has been wounded or killed. Might not be a problem in a small area like Bennington or most of Vermont but must have set policy for all units.
