Perhaps idiot Howell would like to explain:

How the police charged with security of the facility are supposed to know just what the protesters were carrying?
How many were going to be there?
How many officers there were on duty?
What equipment would she like police responding to overwhelming numbers to have access to?
How about the fact that the protesters were going to violate their permit and break the law?
How many officers are supposed to be on duty to handle 850 protesters?

And best of all, since when does the governor’s office dictate the security measures at the capitol?

It seems “Senator” Janet Howell is either grossly unqualified for her job, or simply too stupid to understand how the government works.

Neither her party nor her constituents are not well served by her publically spewing about things she does not understand.

She sounds almost as foolish as Dirty Dick Saslaw.

It was peaceful and Governor' elite made damn sure it stayed that way. An AR-15 piece of prevention trumps having to drag the idiots out by the hair. Of course, howell would have bitched and griped at anything done to control the protestors. Good job Gov.
