I have posted on this site a couple of times. It has been over a year for me. I was one of the women that was given Effexor to help with PMDD. I quickly went from 35mg to 150mg. Please go back and read my post. I am on page 4. I check into this sight about once a week just to keep up with what is happening. It amazes me that we are now on page 13. This stuff is destroying marriages and people. It almost killed me and I almost lost my entire family. Thankfully I had something that happened that made me stop and think about who I was and if that was who I really wanted to be. I began looking for answers for my behavior (which was very much out of character)and I thank God everyday that I found this sight. This sight and the early posts are what convinced me to get off the crap and helped me to believe that the person I was on this stuff is not who I really was. I was very suicidal believing that the person I had become did not deserve to live. Had I stayed on it any longer I would not be here a year later to talk with you and to continue to raise my beautiful twins. This stuff caused me to give away so much. I have spent everyday for a year withdrawing from this stuff. I still wonder if it permanently affected me. I hope that Roy is successful in getting the FDA to look at this and do something about it. This medication should not be perscribed without a physiatric evaluation and monitoring. It should not be used as the "fix all" drug. FOR DIXIE....please tell your story. It helps to put it out there for others to help. Trust me we don't judge...it isn't our place.

Here's a blog I came across which spelled it out for me. It was the drug she was taking that changed her and thus changed our life for the worse. It was the drug that made her feel the way she was feeling about being a mom and wife. It was the drug that made her leave the family.
Check it out and pass it around. As andy says "it may just help someone".

"CDC says antidepressants are now officially the most prescribed drugs on the market today"
WHY IS IT OKAY IN AMERICA OR ANYWHERE ELSE TO HAVE PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS THAT CAN PRODUCE HOMICIDAL TENDENCIES AS A SIDE EFFECT ???????!!!
How about the millions hooked on antidepressants? This is our greatest and growing dependency. These artificial "happy pills" are given out by GP's, and shrinks, like candy and not for severe depression. Some even take Wellbutrin XL just to loose weight and end up with uncontolled alcohol cravings as well as many other destructive behaviors. Many couples beak up over these horrible drugs.

In my opinon Reports: SSRIs: The Unidentified Marriage Killer. Cathal Grant does not care about or respect your marriage he is divorced himself, all he want to do is get you hooked on drugs, for his own profit of office visits, if he causes your marriage to break up he does not care, he has even told people to leave their mate for no justified sound reason at all, now this is unethical as it can get, all based on his five minute office visits.
