Please bring Dru back! I think she was the only representation of color on the show. I think they are predujice because whenever they have blacks on the show, they have to look half white. They also need some hispanic representation also!

I think that the return of Dru to the story line would heighten the number of viewers and bring back a fan base that is absent since her departure. It would certainly spice things up with Neil and his new luv interest. Dru's presence on the show was often looked forward to by viewers, she brought a since of fashion and style for women of all ethnic backgrounds. Bring sexy back! There is the magazine, Restless Style, Devon, Lilly, Neil, her relationship with Sharon, her hatred for Brad, Phyllis and the story lines go on & on. Wow, could I be a writer? LOL

The character played by Victoria was one of the most amazing on the show. Since here departure I have no interest in the show especially coming from an African American point of view. WE WANT DRU BACK- if not, atleast intergrate more blacks into the storylines. There were several appearances, however, those black actors and actresses had short storylies and were never give an extended run.(Devon's mother, his "girlfriend", the actress that last portrayed Lilly, etc...

Truthfully I could do without Dru, I did not like the way they portrayed her. She is a beautiful actor but I liked her better in the mystery series with Dick Van Dyke. The young & Restless never allows her or Neil to break out of the whiteman's stero type, Not to mention she is brillant I don't blame her for leaving! If she should return I hope they will let her character grow in a positive spin for a minute and keep a positive spin for a black family to grow in GC.

How have Drucilla and Neil not been allowed to "break out of the whiteman's stereotype"?? There are millions of well-educated, wealthy, successful blacks in America today - there are NO more stereotypes forced upon anyone. If any black is stereotyped, it is because he or she chooses to be.

As for the Winters:
Drucilla was a mean-spirited, hateful, and utterly spoiled character who caused more trouble than most anyone in GC. Her daughter is equally spoiled. Everyone speaks of her on the show as if she was the perfect role model on a pedestal - she had no class, she was lacking maternal skills, she treated Neil poorly, and she was ... annoying.

Neil has the potential to be smart and savvy, but always comes up short. He and Dru continue to be portrayed as weak parents who allow Lily to rule the roost and run around like a wild child. The closest Neil came to being authoritative was when he spoke up to the kids about their rudeness to Karen. But then ... he stupidly shows NO respect for Karen and their relationship by expecting HER to help him raise his grandchild.

Leave Dru Winters as a character from the past.

ITA agree with your statement you just said it better than me. I don't want Dru back and truthfully I don't watch Y&R any more only snippets of it. It was beginning to get boring and the characters are all over the place, not even good entertainment anymore so thanks for editing for me.. ITA

Well, I still watch the show - despite the annoying Winters family. LOL I don't like it when soaps make a rotten character out to be a saint or something.
