I can't believe this is happening. Victor is the best and makes the show. Ratings will defintely go down if Victor leaves. There is no Y&R withouth Nikki and Victor. Hurry up and give Sharon her baby back and let Nick beat Adam's ###. Sonny better do something quick and save Eric's job. You can't replace Victor, there is only 1 Victor Newman in the world.

Gee I thought all the nuts were in DC. This has to be one of dumbest decisions ever made. Eric is the heart and soul of Y&R. We have been watching it for 20 years but no more. Whom ever is responsible for this stupidity should be fired. You are going to lose a huge audience and a TV standard show popular for 28 years.

I have watched the Young and Restless since it's inception...used to watch as a small child with my Mom!

These days, I record the soap on my DVR to watch because the commercials drive me crazy. Four minutes of show and five minutes of commercials is stupid. If they can't make the money they need off all those commercials, then they ARE in trouble. How about charge more for advertising rather than cutting the pay for the cast members that have made the show #1!!

Soaps are dying out and Sony feels there isnt any use of paying Braeden a ton of money for the lousy ratings the soaps are getting right now.

Old people on soaps are the reason soaps are failing.....no one wants to see a 75 year old man/woman in bed with a someone....so now with Braeden gone they are free to go out and get a young good looking hunk who'll work for 1/3 of what Braeden is getting and wont gross people out when he takes his shirt off either.

If a product isnt selling anyway you might as well put as little money into producing it as you can.

To most of you who did not want to see Eric leave and planned on not watching the show anymore after he left (his last air date was supposed to be Nov 2nd I think), I JUST READ that SONY has WISED UP and he IS going to stay on the soap!... which proves that "old people on soaps" DEFINITELY can keep the ratings high and the faithful fans (for years) happy! WOO-HOO!! He supposedly signed a 3-year contract or, as the article said according to him, "Something like that". Kudos to all of the fans who helped, I'm sure, to accomplish that!

the moment victor Newman leaves the show i too will be going on a long sabbatical from watching the young and restless. one i may not return from anytime soon!!!!!what is the point of watching a show where the writers are so out of touch with their longtime loyal viewers.victor is the very fiber that holds their paychecks together... can you say guiding lights out in their creative brain matter...

I have watched my last show today i have been a fan since i was a little girl but no more your writer are inhuman actors like phyllis, gloria and husband, deacon,adam and mac need to go right there is your money to keep the only one's that matter . I have 5 sisters that watched your show 6 people doesnt seem like a lot but 6 here 5 there and it will wake up dumb a--es.

We have been watching Y&R for some 25 years. Victor leaving did have something to do with our decision to stop watching Y&R. However more of a reason was the story line which is not very interesting any more. Too much emphasis on dopey young kids. The program seems to be aimed at kids? Kids are not normally home and are in school when Y&R airs, so why? Also we are getting feb up with that nutball Adam. The program is really going down the tubes.
