Where does the money go? Why do some classrooms have only a class set of books to share for all their classes at the high school? Maybe too much money going into administrators not only at the school level but also central office?

I totally agree, i think they should have to show a annually report of the expenses, since we the taxpayers help pay these expenses. We ask for these years ago, but never got a report in the paper, i think we are entitled to see were the money is being spent! We parents are nickel, and dimed to death seems like!

I never pay taxes so I dont care. I say get what you can whenever you can. If you folks who complain could get one of them cushy jobs doing nothing for a lot, you wouldn't be complaining. Like I bet you folks prolly fuss because I piggyback on my neighbors wireless server and bitch because I hook up the cable without paying. Instead of complaining about what somebody else has, get out there and steal it for yourself, if you can beat me to it. After all, that is the reputation of the vikings.

Gooooo vikings!

So why is the annual report no longer publicized. Would it be because central office keeps it out. We taxpayers need to know.
For Sure

Why does MM employ retired teachers at board office? Could it possibly be to do his dirty work? Think so; they just don't seem to realize it. How nieve can one be????

By annual report I suspect you mean the "Budget" which does not include gain or loss from realestate deal or other financial assets and "enterprise funds" or parallel corporations like MSU has, the MSU Foundation, INC. for instance. ALL government entities under current standard accepted accounting practices are required to publish a CAFR, it can be demanded for any given year if unavailable on the web. In recent years the School board was called to answer where the money was for the over pass walkway that they recieved money for back in 1972 or so when the 32 reroute was done called "the connector" by the locals, older folks may remember when 32 came in by way of Fleming Avenue to main after curving in front of the Hospitol chapel. The funds had been sitting in a account as a asset in the CAFR and never listed in any budget. The Monstrosity with elevators we have now was built with that money AFTER it was exposed in a meeting. CPAs that are in need of publicity could expose other such funds, or investements in any government entity, so long as there is "rogue" media willing to expose it. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Personally I have tried certain ALPHABET soup media only to be told "the public doesn't understand" such stories. Most of the media is controlled and filtered, even this TOPIX.

Caution has to be mentioned as if there is enough money involved the same media can be manipulated to go after the CPA that is attempting to expose such off the budget assets. In politics nothing happens by accident, the KAC and Kent. Assoc. of Counties junk that was exposed never went into the CAFR issues at all, just the titilating strip club spending, like at Bluegrass Airport the reporting was FAR from comprehensive on the vast off the budget assets they have. Rarely there is a hint at such assets when a story mentions that "economic incentives" were what brought a block of jobs into kentucky, we are not allowed to know what was in the deal, like how much stock in the company did the State or County or City get for waving any taxes for 20years so they could rifle the workers pockets? Where does all the dividents for such stock go, not in the budget and not in the pension surplus funds either. Where is allhe money from Martha Lane's deal to get Toyota to Kentucky, and how much of Toyota is US govt. owned since we "won" WWII right? Walter Burien's estimate that U.s government entities own HALF the equity in many of the worlds stock market is likely a conservative estimate. SO WHAT they lost forty percent of 600trillion in just the Dirivatives debacle that leaves 400 TRILLION, and I for one am TIRED of exercising restraint with such knowlege. When is it time to DO SOMETHINGand stop just complaining about being taxed 20percent on top of the 40% in "income" taxes and they still cry we need more? They got more money than the Rothchilds it would seem.
yep
