does any one know what is going on with the recent crime wave in douglasville. First the rape on Mason Creek Rd. then the home invasion and 2 huge gang incidents one with a shooting and one at Monkey Joe's now this????????? What is happening to our town and why is no one in the police department or the Sentinal not bringing it to our attention?

The blame lies directly at the feet of your friendly neighborhood developers, and we know who they are. They are milking our community and county for all its worth before they sell out and move somewhere else. Uncontrolled development, section 8 housing, the home mortgage debacle, and the proliferation of low quality apartment housing attracts people that just don't care about investing in a home as much as a place to hang out until they wear out their welcome.

I heard that the body was a cook from sam and roscoes and that it was a mob hit. I know this sounds far fetched. But my source is pretty reliable if you know what I mean. I heard he got in to deep with information of some sort. Are the owners of sam and roscoes running around with the MOB??? I don't want to start a rumor. I am not saying this is fact!

Pulled from the Sentinal, dated Sept. 27.
The Douglasville Police Departmentís Major Crime Unit is investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered in an Arbor Station pond Wednesday morning.
Police Chief Joe Whisenant said officers found an ID on the body, but he would not release the victimís name, pending notification of next of kin. Whisenant described the victim as a black male.
Police were called to Arbor Parkway about 11:24 a.m. after landscapers working for the subdivision homeowners association saw an arm sticking above the surface of the water, according to Major Oliver Fladrich. The pond is located just across the road from the Golden Buddha Restaurant.
The body was pulled from the pond by officers about 1:30 p.m. and sent to the state crime laboratory for an autopsy.
Nearby residents told police they heard loud screams in the area about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

there is gang activity of epidemic proportions in Douglas County right now. I have never heard where the gang activity is kept so on the QT. We are fixin to get out of here. It is rampant and out of control.

Has anyone heard any follow up to this? Am assuming they are treating this as a criminal investigation?(It hardly seems accidental... the pond is no more than waist deep...) Anyone hear if there are leads/arrests/developments?

From what I understand he was buried yesterday. The autopsy report hasnt came back yet. They are treating it as a homicide. Does any know for sure what the man name is(was)? I have heard some rumors and just want to verify. If its who I think it is I used to work with him.
